security at its core
these mooring whips are an absolute must for your boats if you don't have a lift , with today's wake boats becoming ever more popular wreaking havoc on those of us who keep our boats tied to the dock. these whips will keep you boat securely away from the dock to prevent damages

works great!!
really a cost effective way to keep your vessel in the water without damage from the dock; my last boat developed a hole in the pontoon after months of damage from the dock and improper mooring; i live on a lake.

Best solution!
The media could not be loaded. This is a great solution to dock the boat without a lift. I’m so glad I took a chance and tried these. We have had some major winds on Lake Mille Lacs in MN. The boat is able to rock in the waves and barely ever touches the dock. The whips absorb a lot of the energy with their vertical movement. We are thrilled at how these work.

Protecting the boat
Very easy to install and I'm very satisfied. I chose the premium 8,000 rig for a 17CC that weighs ~ 1500 lbs with a full tank and gear. We live on tidal water of the Chesapeake with up to a 3' tide range. The wing is normally 5 to20 knots to starboard. I'll pull her for winds excess of 20 knots. Wind from the port or south are lighter and don't normally exceed 10 knots. I was concerned at first about the flexing the tide and wind exerts on the whips but so it has not been an issue. They are very well made. With proper storage of the whips and lines in the winter, I anticipate many years of service from the equipment. I added a center cleat on the boat to use a V spring line configuration. One unanticipated benefit is easy of mooring. Upon approach I can easy and quickly secure the boat single-handedly while on the boat. This is a very affordable option, since I am not ready yet to invest in additional pilings and a boat lift. Happy customer and recommend this product to safely moor and protect your boat.

Excellent for boat protection
installed these 2 weeks ago; easy installation, windy conditions. They are doing their job quite well for my 26 footer.

Easy to understand installation instructions.
Easy to install and complete to include an additional spring line for extra protection.I hope that these will hold up in the salt water environment on my protected ICWcanal.

Great bang for the buck
This thing worked great for my 20 foot bayliner … water came over the dock 3 times and this kept it away

These are solid, well made, and work well ...
These are solid, well made, and work well. I bought the smallest size for a 13' RHIB to hold it off and keep it from rubbing against the dock. I made a few changes in the installation:1. I through bolted the mounts rather than using the supplied lag bolts "just because"2. I added pulleys from West Marine to the end of the whips; the rope was fraying from going around the pivot point which is about an 1/8th of an inch diameter. This was a trival upgrade that I strongly recommend.3. I am replacing the stainless bolts that hold the whips to the cast aluminum frame. They have an elegant plastic handle but it doesn't hold up. A regular machine bolt will allow me to put a hex wrench on it. Be sure to grease this fastener with a good waterproof grease.I use 4 additional dock lines to hold the boat in place: 2 criss crossed spring lines fore-aft so the boat can't move fore-aft. A bow line and a stern line each so the vessel can't rotate under the whips and hit the dock.So why, after so many mods, did I still give it 5 stars? Because the fiberglass rods and the mounts are extremely well made, and although my situation is rather extreme, this system really does the job.My location is often rough (2 foot waves); despite taking a pounding the system works extremely well, I've been using it an entire season.
