Flexible Claw Pickup Tool with Magnet,28", 2-in-1 Magnetic Pickup

Bought this to help me remove spark plugs from my car. The plugs for the back side of the engine are up against the firewall so very difficult to get out. This worked flawlessly. The tool is very well made, and quality seems to be great in my opinion. Would recommend to anyone that needs a flexible shaft magnetic pickup tool.

This is a much better tool than the one it replaced. That one was too floppy to precisely target crevices or enclosures where bolts and nuts would fall into and be trapped. This one is better, and better quality. Feels good in the hand, easy to bend and holds it's form well. The reach arm is a little thick for my liking, but it's not much to complain about and for all I know they need to be that thick to properly hold form. The magnet is plenty strong for the kinds of things you'll be using this to retrieve - it held a beefy strut-to-knuckle bolt with nut no problem, just as a test. In any case, my only other complaint is the few times I've tried to use the grabber prongs at the end instead of the magnet (picking up plastic body rivets under the car), it didn't seem to grab as well as the old tool. It was dark and I didn't take the time to really examine the shape of the grabbing prongs or their deployment geometry, all I know is it only grabbed hold about half the attempts. Maybe even my fault - it was late and I'd been at it for awhile. With my butterfingers, I'm sure I'll have plenty more chances to put this bad boy to use, and I'll update if anything great or terrible happens. Bottom line, great tool overall, possibly finicky grabbers, or tired and imprecise user error.

I bought this rod "contraption" to be able to get things lost behind the bed, cabinets, furniture, and even tried it out in the car man this is one of the most useful tools you can have. Not only magnetic but press the button for the claws to pick up objects. Extremely useful tool.

When I pulled it out of the package I was impressed. Nice anodized aluminum finish. Bends nicely, and the claw works great. Fatal flaw: the magnet is extremely weak. It can barely hold its own weight vertically when on a steel plate. It could pick up very small things, like screws or nails, but not a screwdriver or wrench. Fortunately it was inexpensive.

I bought this snake to unclog a hose in my vacuum cleaner. It worked perfectly and my vacuum cleaner is working as well as it did when I first bought it.
