How does the water drain? And how long can you leave the water in the pool?

The liner has 4 different plugs at various heights that you can easily drain the water from. If you plan to leave water in it all summer, then use a 3" chlorine tablet to keep the water from becoming algae or mildew-filled. Each tablet will last you about 1-2 weeks.

does this pool have a mister?

yes, seems to fit my water hose just fine. but it sprung a leak. cheap materials but im happy with the pool for the price.

Is the mister attachment suppose to be threaded? We love our pool, but once we hookedthe the hose to the mister, it just blew it right off.

You can attach the mister directly to the garden hose. You need to remove the adapter that is on the mister hose.

Can you put a pool cover on the bestway 56193 splash-in-shade play pool?

If you remove (or don't set up) the canopy, yes. Bestway doesn't seem to offer an appropriate sized cover, though. Maybe, try an Intex round cover for their 10 foot diameter pools (the 8 foot cover doesn't fit this).
