Since just about ALL reviews on this chair are from Europeans, I wanted to do a in-depth review of it for any American buyers out there.SHIPPING:First of all the shipping was fast! Amazon Prime, I love you! Got here in two days.PACKAGING AND BOX:Well I expected to see some holes in the box but this was one was huge! I inspected for damage on the inside and didn't see anything so I opened her up. Everything looked good on first inspection. I was worried about tears in the fabric but nothing. Then when I unwrapped the star base I noticed a big paint scuff on one of the legs. All the way down to the metal. I think that maybe during shipping, the weight of the seat rubbed on that part all the way from China and wore it down to metal. -1 StarASSEMBLY:Super easy, I've put together baby furniture, patio furniture and kids toys before and this was one of the easiest I've ever done. Seriously, you have to be pretty unhandy to not be able to figure this out. A holes lined up. From opening the box to writing this review, 20 minutes and I did it by myself.CONSTRUCTION:This is top notch, stitching and material feel substantial, not cheap. Foam feels very nice. All hardware was big and didn't look cheap. The staples that hold the bottom of the seat material I thought might look ugly but you don’t even see them when the seat is assembled. Embroidery is nothing to write home about. It’s clean but I have seen better. The webbing on the underside of the seat is just like a real car. Very coolLOOKS:IT JUST LOOKS SUPER COOL! Modeled after a racing seat, it totally fits for anyone into racing. I know these are called “Gaming Chairs” but I’m a photographer an graphic designer and I spend just as much time in a chair as gamers do… only I’m making $$$ when I’m sitting (unless you are professional gamer and in that case more power too you!)COMFORT:WOW! Coming form my old mesh chair that I've had for over 10 years, this s like butter! Soft but not too soft and not too firm. Feels just a tad firmer than the seats in my Dodge Challenger. It hugs you in all the right spots. Again coming from a mesh seat I’m not sure how this is going to fair in hot weather. Not that I’m sitting outside but in summer we try not to run the AC 24/7 so it can get a little warm in the office when I’m working. Only time will tell.I’m 5’9” 180lbs and sitting normally (almost straight up but with head slightly forward) the back of the seat is about 1” above my head. I have it about ½- ¾ up on the gas lift and my feet touch the ground comfortably. All the way up I still touch the ground but I think anything after that I would need to start touching the ground with my tip toes. If you are 6 foot+, this might be an issue.The arm rest adjustment does have 5 levels of adjustment that in total from all the way down to all the way up is about 3”. I thought this wasn't enough but after getting it under the desk, it’s actually perfect.The little head pillow is neat but is kinda thick and I feel like its pushing my head forward. Maybe I need to adjust the recline to find the sweet spot. Even then it’s still a firm pillow, not soft at all.RECLINE:AWESOME! It reclines like a real car seat. I don’t know how much I would use this feature in a desk/work chair but then again I've never had a chair that can lay flat if you wanted too. I wouldn't recommend it since it could tip over with you in it.LUMBAR:So I was totally mistaking thinking that this seat had an adjustable lumbar support. All the other online video reviews show a lumbar that slides up and down on little belts that wrap through the seat belt holes and in between the seat and backrest. This would allow you slide it to where you need the lumbar. Maybe that is just the European model? At first I thought the straps may have fallen out of that big hole in the box but the lumbar pillow doesn't even have the holes for it and in the description both on Amazon and the AK Racing website, there is no indication that it is adjustable Anyway, I’m going to make them myself so that I can have that support.GAS LIFT:I was about to call Amazon and request a refund when I sat in the chair and the gas lift didn't go up! Turns out I had to remove the little red cap that is on the gas lift and the little lever that pushes down on the gas lift to release it was bent a little bit (again probably during shipping) and not depressing the button to make it go up or down. After taking it out and confirming that the gas lift did work I bent that little arm/handle so that it put more pressure on the button and presses it in firmly to lift and lower the chair.ODD SMELL:I read about this on a forum about the chair that it does have a chemical smell to it. Not strong enough to make you sick but noticeable. Maybe some Febreze will take care of it.CONCLUSION:I love it. I am a huge Formula 1, Indy car, and Le Mans/Sports car fan and this seat is totally my style. In my home office, it fits perfectly with all my racing memorabilia. Would it work in normal office setting? Maybe an all black chair but this one would look out of place. As much time as I sit in my chair working, I wanted a comfortable chair that would last me years and look cool. This delivers. I could have gone for a chair for half the cost and be just as comfortable but I work hard and I decided to spoil myself a little ‘cause I like cool stuff! For the price, I think it’s worth it. There are more expensive options out there but this is a winner. Let's hope it doesn't just fall apart in 6 months!

Received the chair Saturday and opened the box to put it together.Impression:Chair "seemed" to be packed well for shipping.*Assembly tools were includedBuild instructions were clear and easy to understand (and had pictures)Included hardware (in the form of allen-head bolts) were already installed in their respective holesAssembly was fast and painless.Comfort-wise:I can't decide if I wish the seat base were 2 inches wider or if I wish I were 2 inches narrower...(I work out so I have pretty large legs) I just know that the raised sections on the sides of the seat base push my legs together a bit more than I'm totally comfortable with...I will give it some time to see if I get used to changing my siting style. (I am able to sit cross-legged in my old chair and it seems like it will not be possible to sit like that in this new one)Other that the issue above, and the ripped fabric I mentioned below, I do really like the chair. It's comfortable in all other areas, seems like it has quality hardware. The lumbar cushion and the head pillow are nice. The adjustability is nice. It feels sturdy, and the caster wheels are about 1/2" larger than the casters on my old seat, so it is easier to roll it around on carpet. The fabric it's covered in is not "scratchy" like some of the polyester type fabric coverings on other chairs...* Bottom "Seat" portion of the chair had a rip in the fabric around 1" long near the front, left side. I can't tell if it was damaged before/during packing or was a result of shipping damage...

Fast delivery. I'm a bigger guy, 6 ft 2 in and 300 lbs. this chair is comfortable but the edge on the seat does feel slightly uncomfortable as a bigger dude. However the included pillows and the overall quality is amazing. Only complaint is that after unboxing I found a small plastic piece, presumably off of the plastic guard (was already installed when unboxed) that covers the right bracket and lever (in pictures).

Not too bad to put together and have been using it over the last year or so. The main pad you sit on is stiffer than most chairs but the way I see it is it will last longer. Over time I have had to tighten the arm rests a little bit but I haven't had any problems other than that. Packaging was excellent.
