Challenging yet awesome gift!
Hobbies can’t crack this! His dad came close but still can’t do it. Guests have also come close but unable to beat. Heavy, great quality and cool design . It’s tough but everyone has enjoyed the challenge. Great gift to hud band.

Fun if you like to fuss with finicky things
Easy solution but so finicky! Even if you know how to solve it, it takes a while to line it up just right to get it to work. I don’t consider that a problem of craftsmanship, just a quirk or the particular puzzle. And some people enjoy finicky things, so this puzzle is for them :). Also this puzzle just looks cool and is fun to play with even if you don’t solve it. The bag is nice, but doesn’t always stay closed unless you knot it, and there’s no friction cinching mechanism.

Sore thumbs!
Myself and several coworkers tinkered with this cursed contraption until our thumbs hurt. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to get it apart and some luck was involved as well. It's very well built. There's a review on here that said they cheated but still struggled because of poor machining. After having it apart I can tell you that they watched a video from someone that didn't understand it, it's not the machining. Other reviews say it's bad as a puzzle because you can't see enough to figure it out. You can probe between and see enough between the gaps in ball to understand what's going on. I'm fairly certain they built it sturdy because they knew people would crash out and smash it to bits. 10/10 irresistibly frustrating.

Tricky
I love a good challenge. This thing really has me entertained for hours. One day it’ll be super easy to take apart and put back together, the other I can’t seem to take it apart for the life of me. It’s hard to explain. It’s so frustrating, yet challenging and fun. I’m so happy with this purchase!

Great Product, But Did NOT Get The Pouch!
I am impressed with the design, overall great product. However - False advertisement on the red velvet pouch, for it did not come in the package when I just ordered mine. 2021

Beautiful and frustrating
Hanayama is known for their well-made, elegant, unique, and often challenging metal puzzles. This UFO puzzle is no exception. In fact, even compared to the other beautiful puzzles from Hanayama, this might just be my favorite in terms of appearance. It's a lovely little puzzle that really does look like a UFO. When fully assembled, it features a shell surrounding a metal ball which rotates freely within the shell. It's almost like a fidget toy that you can just spin around. Actually solving the puzzle, though, is another matter entirely. The solution is not difficult to understand (though it wasn't quite my first guess). What makes this particularly challenging, though, is that even once you know the solution (or have correctly guessed it), the puzzle is STILL difficult because it's very finicky and requires a bit of dexterity to solve. Because the solution is so challenging, not only to discover but also to execute, I think the puzzle's difficulty (marketed as level four of six) is actually underrated. I'd actually consider this a level five or six difficulty puzzle. If you're looking for a strong challenge, this might be exactly what you're looking for. Personally, I would have preferred if the solution required purely mental skill rather than manual dexterity; however, the wonderful design of the puzzle more than compensates for it's somewhat frustrating solution.

Diabolical puzzle
This is a great puzzle and is very challenging. Most people that I talk to about this puzzle believe that it is underrated at a level 4 difficulty. I agree. I love the intricacy of the design and the build of the puzzle. It may drive you crazy trying to figure it out but it looks great and feels solid to the touch.
