AIM SPORTS Review: Great little light for the money!! - Item ships in a blister pack, which was a bit off-putting, but after removing the product I was pleased with the overall quality of the light. It comes with 3 colored lenses that apparently are supposed to fit over the light itself, but none of them fit and one actually broke in half while I was trying to fit it. A shame as I was hoping to use the blue color. To the item itself; I bought this for use on my Glock 20C and fit was no problem at all on a full size pistol. The quick connect locks onto the ridge in the rail and quickly disconnects by pulling away from the pistol with the spring loaded buttons on both sides. They look like tightening screws, but they aren't. It holds quite securely even under the pressure of rapid firing a full size 10mm pistol so I don't have any worries about how well it holds. The light is TINY, so small that looking down from the top of the pistol if it didn't stick out from the front of the pistol a bit it wouldn't be visible at all except for the quick connect latches. It's that slim. Of course a Glock 20C is pretty thick, but the light is much smaller than the other snap on lights I have, and it's significantly brighter as well. The only annoyance is the on/off button is on the bottom of the light, which is poorly placed at best and ergonomically useless at worst. For my pistol I have to take a hand completely off a two handed grip to activate the light and repeat the same to deactivate it. For the price, it's not a big deal, and I assume the placement is probably a lot more convenient for smaller pistols. Overall very pleased with my purchase and look forward to see how it holds up. Review: Excellent for PX4 Storm! Just make sure you get the right model - I purchased this for my Beretta PX4 Storm F (full size) 9mm. This one is for the Compact and Sub-Compact PX4, so it will NOT sit on your full sized PX4 rail properly and therefore will NOT fit as securely as you'll need it to. This one is the FQ150C (the "C" is for Compact) (ASIN: B0051W6CQ8) For the full sized PX4 Storm you'll need to order the "Aim Sports 150 Lumens Flashlight with Qrl Color Filtered Lenses" model number FQ150 (no "C") (ASIN: B00551H96W). This FQ150C light is VERY bright, very solid and very nice. The quick detach mount is an excellent feature if you desire easy attachment/removal. Also, it does have a temporary "ON" setting. Once you've pressed the switch to turn the light "ON" you can press the switch lightly to temporarily turn the light "OFF", releasing the light pressure will turn the light back "ON". Then, to turn the light completely "OFF" depress the button fully. At a little over $30, this is a very good buy. I would recommend it. Just make certain you're ordering the proper AIM Sport light for your compact/sub-compact or full size PX4.

Good for the money... not fantastic...
A solid buy for the money (but there are certainly better if you spend more). Cree LED Powered a 3.0V CR2 battery. If you are not familiar with LED flashlights and lithium batteries, you will be impressed. This is far brighter than incandescent bulbs. I believe the 150 lumen claim. If you are knowledgeable of LEDs, some more details/observations: LED emitter appears to be an XR-E, not sure which bin. (R2?) Color temp is cool, but still a decent white on mine (not too purplish or bluish). Reflector has an orange peel texture so the beam is not very ringy... a pleasant surprise for an XR-E! Might reduce throw a small degree, but I am OK with that. Throw is typical for an XR-E in a head/reflector of this size. Perfectly sufficient for indoor use. Have not tried outdoors, but I would guess at least solid 15 yd useable range. Build quality is acceptable for the price. Mine did have some rough threads where the head screws in. I do recommend lubing with nyogel or similar. It looks like you can disassemble the head/pill, but I did not. The switch is an audible clicky. A little smushy and soft, but I have felt worse. It does work consistently and reliably. The biggest downside I see to this light is the way it mounts to the rail on the gun. It is "quick release" as advertised, but this means it is not incredibly sturdy. It can wiggle slightly when pushed by finger. It appears the lock tab is not as wide as the gap in the rail which it snaps into. This leaves a small amount of play. I have yet to shoot with the light attached and on, so I am not certain if this will affect performance. It may be OK. It is not super loose. This is the trade-off for the "quick release" design I suppose.

Saved a lot of money, and happy!
Bought this light for my Springfield XD40 tactical (the one with the 5" barrel and 12rd mag). Was very happy with the fit, doesn't even make it to the end of the barrel let alone past it. On the 4" XD I imagine it would be just past the barrel. On my XDS 45 (subcompact single stack) it sits about an inch past the barrel. Looks precarious but is in there snug (but I won't be using it on that gun). It doesn't sit flush with the trigger guard, which is not an issue for me, but of note for others who might desire that. Ran 250rds through the gun with it on, no issues whatsoever so it seems to handle shock well. The light is bright enough to be seen at a well lit range @ 10 yards (maybe more, but that is the max I tested it to), and in a dark room is more than sufficient. Outside at night was bright enough to see 100 yards away, though not terribly bright at that distance. I like the button on the bottom, easy to hit, and I have found I can hit the button on my phone in my pocket to turn it on if I needed to do it one handed. It comes on and off easily with the button on the side. Overall: Looks nice, handles well, bright enough, great price. I'm glad I didn't spend $200 on a light when this one works well enough for me.
