This flag is very sturdy and works great, even on a tricycle. It has a hinge that allows some give if you run into it or it hits an obstacle. It bounces right back into place. I like that it telescopes in when not in use. I read many reviews about cheaper flags breaking, so I spent the money to get this stronger flag. I thought it might be too big or awkward for a tricycle, but it looks great on our Schwinn Roadster and provides the safety we needed for our low profile trike.

Good quality and sturdy.

Pros: Mounted very easily, spring works. Telescoping feature allowed us to mount it higher than previous flags. Working good so far! Cons. Mounting bolt worked, but might not be long enough for some installations. Flag will most likely wear out. The pole portion most likely can be damaged by a high speed limb hit.

Fits well on my scooter

I bought this for my cat-themed Vespa moped build so I could hang cat toys from it. I needed something that was capable of being installed securely and also was sturdy enough to withstand traveling around 40mph. I researched a lot of different flag options on Amazon, but this one stood out because of the sturdy design. If you imagine one of the old-school telescoping car antennas, and mix that with the spring at the bottom that a CB radio antenna has, then this is it. My favorite part about it, though, is the installation hardware. At the end of the spring there is a 14mm bolt that holds a sturdy steel bracket with another 14mm bolt. I believe this is meant to make it so that you can install the flag to the rear axle. This didn't work for my particular build because Vespa mopeds have a rear transmission with an output shaft rather than an axle. What I did was, I removed the nut holding the bracket, took the bracket off, found two rubber washers (since mopeds vibrate so much, nuts tend to screw themselves out if you don't secure them properly), drilled a hole in the book rack, and installed the flag there. The actual flag part is held on with a metal clip. In order for me to take it off, I had to pry it open with pliers and then cut the seam where the flag was sewn. For those of you who are thinking about buying this for its actual use, this means that the flag is installed securely and won't fly off or slide down. Once I did that, I attached some safety pins, fashioned a stopper (so the pins wouldn't slide down), and then hooked the cat toys to the pins. Voila! Ridiculous cat toy accessory for my ridiculous cat-themed moped. I took the moped on a ride yesterday, and the "flag" survived a 45 mph ride with no problems whatsoever. I'm very pleased with this product.

Picked up two of these flags for our buggies. They were really easy to mount and are of good quality. They telescope out way more than needed and hold their position while riding. The spring is strong and allows the flag to bend at pretty much a 90 degree angle. So far the finish is holding up well. I did bend one of the telescoping tubes, but it bent back very easily and still functions flawlessly.

We attached this to the back of my mobility scooter, and it does the job. My husband had to monkey with the end to get it attached to my scooter's wire basket, but it was pretty easy to do. The thing I like about this the most is that it is telescoping. I don't have to remove it to get the basket in my SUV when we're on the go. Seems to be well made and durable.

Liked the sturdy rod but used a few times and the flag came off.
