Glad to find it online
The San Francisco Center for the Book uses these for PVA adhesive and mixed methyl cellulose/PVA I. The core bookbinding classes. The item is well designed for its purpose. You don’t have to keep washing out the brush. Just seal the cap and the glue and brush are ready to use.

wasted my money wasted my glue
I filled the pot full of Barge Cement glue for my lather working projects yesterday morning thinking that all was good! BOY WAS I EVER WRONG!!! around 5pm started smelling the strong odor of glue in my house and when I went into the leather working shop I found the worst possible mess imagnable. For what ever reason the container of the glue pot had separated at the mid seam and I had 32 OZ's of glue all over my work table, and as if that wasn't bad enough I had the cut pieces of my project sitting in the middle of the glue and the part that really took the cake was the piece that I had just finished tooling the day prior was now completely submerged in the glue as well, mind you that was over 20 hours of tooling lost! It took my wife and I the better part of an hour, a quart of "ACETONE" and 2 rolls of paper towels to get the mess cleaned up before it started setting, which by then was turning into a solid so it no longer was just wipeable, it had to be scrapped up, then there was the hardwood Oak floor that was in need of clean up next, there was blobs of glue there and I had to use the Acetone which I really didn't want to use to clean it up with because it also took off the floor finish as well. So now I am stuck (literally) with having my hardwood oak floor refinished, and that alone will probably cost well over a thousand dollars to have done. I cannot possibly relate in this post how upset I am with this terrible piece of junk. It is now about 18 hours later and the chemical smell from the "Barge Cement" is still in my home, and that is with all of the windows and door open since 6am, windows open all night too. Now I am stuck (yeah I know) with the cost of the wasted leather which was $79.99, the 20hours I spent tooling said leather at $25.00 per hour= $500.00, the problem now of today having to go and buy more leather at $80.00, then retooling the whole project over again. This is not including having to explain to my customer that I will not be done with her CUSTOM HAND/SHOULDER BAG now for at least another week or longer and it is all because of this piece of garbage that I bought on AMAZON! The worst ever!

Looks as good as my other ones
As described in the add. Cheaper the the expensive brand which I’ve had multiple of. They all seem the same. As a saddle maker I’ve used a hand full of these. I love them. I’ve read other reviews mentioning problems of them leaking at the seems. I’m guess they left their glue pot flat all the time instead of kicking up on end when not in use (like the position used when filling it). If you leave them kicked up on end then the fumes which create pressure will escape through the cap. Instead of push glue out the seams Because it has nowhere to go. Tip back down when useing glue pot but always return to up right position if not using for longer than a hour or so. A buddy had even a nice one blow out and waist an entire container of glue more than once. Cost money!! Worse of all the puddle of glue had dryied on his bench by end of weekend. Since he started kicking the pot up when not in use, no more problems. Hoping that helps. Time will tell if that is the problem with this product. Keep ya posted if I remember to.

RIP our apartment deposit, bottom seam failed
After 6 months, one of the bottom seals failed and leaked about 16 oz of glue all over the side of my desk and down into the carpet. Normally the glue pot sits on my workbench but I was working with some smaller parts about a month ago and never put it back.. Kind of glad since at the time I had some larger leather projects on the bench that would also have been ruined by the leak, but it's not like you can just pluck contact cement out of the carpet. Might as well kiss our apartment deposit goodbye. Don't cheap out people, get a good METAL glue pot.

Works for bookbinding too
I've been using this for a few months for bookbinding, and it has made a big difference. No more dried out glue and rock hard brushes. It's easy to pop the top on over your brush while you're working on something else, and when you take it off again, the brush is right there, loaded with glue and ready to go. You can take the top off and on with one hand, if your other hand is holding something down. The little wiper bar is a nice touch too. I previously used little containers and jars for glue, and when you wipe excess off the brush, it typically loads up the jar threads or dries on the inside of the jar, wasting glue. The wiper bar eliminates all that, as well as doing a much better job of getting the excess glue off the brush. I like it so much I'm getting another - I figure it's saved me at least ten bucks worth of expensive bookbinding glue already.

Works perfectly with water based leather adhesive
I use a fair amount of Renia Aquilim 315 every month in my leather business and this glue pot works very well for this application. I do not use the included brush as a foam applicator works very well. I have no idea how it will work with solvent-based contact cement as I rarely use that anymore due to the excessive fumes. At this price point it is a equivalent to units costing ~4x as much.

Seam around base is CRAP!
This is the second I’ve received. Returned the first because the seam around the base split and left glue all over my table. The second is now having the same issue with less than a months worth of time since I received it. I’ll return this one too but I’ll opt for a refund rather than an exchange.

Great idea, unfortunately it's falling apart.
After seeing this glue reservoir in use in a leather working YouTube vid I was sold on its obvious convenience. Sure enough it was great, very easy to use and allowed me to access the glue quickly. Unfortunately after just a few months there are now cracks along the base of the container which has allowed the glue inside to begin to cure and harden. I have no idea why these cracks have appeared, the glue reservoir has not been dropped or exposed to extreme temperatures.

This glue pot works well, keeps your glue handy and when cap is on the glue does not dry out.

Used barge cement in the container. It destroyed the container. Melted it! Do not use for solvent based glues
