Solid product.
We are the owners of the boom boom room burlesque club in st louis mo shut down and rebuilding a bigger better location during the covid lock down. So with a lot of time you start doing things you may not so. Like building the most amazing dressing room with a vintage flair with all the bells and whistles. Not that you did not want to before, but because you just did not have the time. I feel weird leaving this review, because I know its going to sell the heck out of these bulbs. And im not getting paid and getting nothing for doing this. I do know lighting very well as the light guy, owner, and now the designer, Construction guy, and everything down to janitor of the venue.Phillips makes great lights. When doing stage lights you learn real quick the good and bad bulbs. So i found these looking for the best lighting for make up. Seems to be 5000-5500k (color temperature or simply the color of the bulb). These bulbs were recommended on a blog so I decided to try them out. I personally don’t wear make up so I know nothing about this I am not a stage performer. As i was building the dressing room i was excited to install all the vintage led 2700k bulbs. Then through research found they were bad for make up. In your house etc its real important to get the right colors in the right places. And the problem with led lights as front lights on stage is they make people look ugly. Shows make up lines. Powder etc. so we use incandescent bulbs in front led in back. With incandescent bulbs, they have a wide range of colors. But “tend” to have an area of more colors. Like yellow. That wide range is more natural to the eye. Led bulbs have one color. Imagine a graph where there is one spike. That is led bulbs. It can look really weird. And Actually bad for the eyes. But Usually a room has sun Coming in to help balance the light spike. In a home. But if not you need to consider this.So I do not understand why these bulbs have the feeling that they are not doing this. On stage LED lights for example set to blue can make people look actually bizarrely blue like a cartoon character. Where in incandescent bulb with a gel on it can make people look bit blue but still human. So as lighting goes for this purpose for make up in a room that is made to work it’s a great color temperature. The bulbs them selves are very solid. Another problem with LED bulbs is doing. Sometimes they just do a very poor job of dimming. I connected a lamp dimmer to the bulbs and they are very smooth in the way they dim.Unlike incandescent lightbulbs in the past when you buy LEDs and you plan to dim them it’s best to get a brand or type that you like and stick with it so they all dim the same, because they never really do dim the same. It’s not the LEDs manufactures fault. It’s just the nature of a LED bulb. So I have boxes and boxes of lightbulbs samples that I am constantly putting in taking out and testing and trying so I can see which ones work the best. But we own a business. I am a lighting dork as i said. Lighting is everything in decore. So back to color temperature, this is a great color temperature and makes people look really good for make up. I use 2700 Calvin for everything to do with front of house. So when people are eating food things of that nature and many times I purposely use incandescent bulbs because they make the food look better and make people prettier. And people like to look pretty especially girls when they are in a room. But when it comes to the commercial kitchen or the garage or storage I want is much bright light as possible. Somewhere around 5500 to 6000 Kelvin. Overall our dressing roomA 50+ lightbulbs will be using these Philips dimmable LED bulbs.I was not paid for this, im a nerd, and I really did truly stupidly love the stupid light bulbs. Seriously who is excited about lightbulbs. I guess me.

Better Than Cheap Bulbs
Been using these GE dimmable LED bulbs in non-dimmable sockets as they last a lot longer and are brighter. Was tried of changing cheaper LED bulbs all the time.

best price online!
I have recently fallen in love with these lights! I love the brightness and longevity of them. They are especially wonderful in my bathroom. I've always struggled for good lighting for putting on my makeup and these have proven to be my all time winner! You will never go back to any other lightbulbs after these. They were also packaged very well so no breakage in shipping. I was really worried about them arriving in pieces but was not disappointed.

Don't count on 13 years...more like ~1.
Pros: I love daylight bulbs. I use them in the office, bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Maybe it's b/c I grew up in Hawaii, but I just like having natural daylight whenever possible. However, since moving to Seattle, that's been harder to come by. Which is why when I saw these bulbs, I jumped all over it. Aside from the mental benefits, I prefer my lighting crisp, clear and bright. The only major con is that the bulbs do not last very long. I have gone through 2 boxes of bulbs in the past 9 months. I also purchased the Floodlight bulbs which are all working great. But the standard bulbs which I only have in the master bath are definitely having some issues. I actually thought maybe the electrical was damaged b/c these bulbs were only 6 - 9 months old. But when I changed out a few bulbs, the new new bulb worked great. It sounds from reading other reviews I'm not the only one having these issues. I still like daylight bulbs, but I will try a more affordable brand next b/c if I'm not going to get even 2 years with these light bulbs, I'm not sure it's justified to be paying the higher price point.

Exact match that I needed
A bulb in my bathroom light fixture (6-lights) burned out. I had purchased the fixture at Home Depot in 2020, and went back for the bulb. Well, HD no longer carries GE!! So, I took a photo of one of the working bulbs, and searched Amazon for the replacement. This product *seemed* to match, so I ordered it. When it arrived, I screwed it in with great anticipation, flipped the switch, AND IT IS A PERFECT MATCH! I was elated.
