Dorman 742-143 Power Window Lift Motor Compatible with Select Models

Used to replace a failed unit in my semi, worked great and it's way faster than the factory unit was. Fits a plethora of vehicles.

This motor is very cheap and it fits very well on my old regulator. I did have to sand a corner down to fit the regulator, but that corner was plastic and very easy to sand down. Other than that it was very easy to install, came with all fittings/hardware and connectors needed, and was a perfectly matched replacement for my broken motor. The motor works perfectly and is a great way to get your power windows working well with little money and effort!

I used this motor on my 2001 Chevy Blazer driver door window, along with a new regulator from TRQ. This motor fits just like OEM. Comes with a connector that will work with this new motor and the stock connector from the door. Fits absolutely perfect, and works perfectly and powerfully! This kit comes with 3 long nuts and bolts you’ll need to mount this motor onto the regulator, and it also comes with 4 short nuts and bolts that you might want to use to mount the regulator to the door sheet metal. I just used 1/4 inch rivets for my regulator instead of the supplied nuts and bolts. Great product!

Installed last night in my 03 S10. For one mounting hole, I was able to use one of the supplied bolts and nuts. For another, I had to get a longer bolt to screw into the rivnut since the housing is thicker. For the last hole I had to use a zip tie because of the regulator arm moving behind that hole. I suspect that there was originally a rivnut there as well, but it's missing. Go figure on a 23 year old truck. There was a zip tie holding it when I took the panel off and I've had the truck 5 years, so it must work good enough. The motor itself works great so far and fits the same as the original apart from me having to be creative with the mounting. It does include the correct connection to make it compatible with the original. This was certainly easier than replacing the entire regulator and motor.

My 2001 Gmc Jimmy Window was being intermittent. It stopped working for over a week and then worked again for 3 months until it stopped rolling the drivers side window down. Well back then I bought this part to change it. Since it worked again, I stored it for the 3 months or so. I had to use one of the applied adapters for my application. This seems to fit several GM models. The hardest pain is grinding the heads of the factory rivets off the motor housing and in such a tight space. I used what I had and started drilling through the center of the rivets after grinding the heads. Problem is the back side of the rivet head in my case is stuck between the regulator bracket. I cut the edge of rivets off going through the motor housing and I got 2 of the rivets completely out. Watch the hardware they give you, the head of the bolt or the nut depending on which way you get it lined up, may run into the window regulator. I got 2 bolts and nuts lined up and used the brace of the old bottom rivet to line up (3 total). I recommend removing the old rivets on the window regulator mine fell off and my window got stuck a year ago or so i should have changed the motor then. We put bolts and nuts in just like the window motor set up comes with. Also the old motor just needs to be cleaned it still worked after removing. Mine had a lot of moly grease on it! Make sure you have extra door panel clips!! They will break.

Easy install, took about 1 hour. Had to grind off a small amount of plastic to not interfere with the steel panel (99 Lumina). The unit is quiet, and works great. All adapters and hardware is included. make sure you spray the window tracks with dry silicone to improve operation. Also use white grease or equivalent on the slides if you have that style (non cable) actuator.

This window motor was an exact replacement for my truck. Easy to tell that quality was in this product. Operated flawlessly upon installation. Great speed in raising or lowering window. Value as priced is incredible!
