OTC 6192 TORX PLUS Bit Socket - TP55 with 3/8" Square Drive

All you people saying this doesn’t work for your t55 are ridiculous. Ofcourse it won’t work it’s not the same thing! It’s a torx plus socket not a regular torx. Sheesh people leaving bad reviews not even knowing what they’re buying. It’s like complaining a Phillips head won’t work in a flat head screw. Yeah no kidding! Don’t listen to these bozos if you need a Torx plus this is what you’re looking for, works great for timing chain phasers on ford 3.5!

I bought this to remove the passenger seat bolts from my 2008 Ford Escape. Worked just fine.Until recently I had no idea that the TP series existed. Be sure to get the TP-55 for your Ford Escape and not the T-55.

For my 2003 Ford SuperDuty truck (i.e. Excursion,F250,F350, etc) this was the bit I needed for the bolts that attach the seat to the floor.

Don't use an impact gun to loosen up your seat bolts, 1. it Voids the warranty, 2. you will distroy the head of the bolts with one slip and once y'all mess up the torx, Like trying to get a locking lug nut OFF with out the key, I used an impact adapter ½ to ⅜ and a Breaker bar to Bust Them loose cause DMs have locktight on the thread.

I bought it after reading many reviews online that this is probably what I needed to remove some seats from a Ford truck. However, it does NOT fit the 2016 Ford Transit 12 passenger van. This bit is too big. I haven't figured out what does fit it yet, but will update this review when I do.

TP55 torx plus is the right size/socket type to remove the star shape bolts from my 2009 Ford E350 bench seat brackets. Also works on a 2003 Ford E350 so it should on Econoline 2003 - 2014. Not sure why another reviewer said the socket did work on their 2008 model. Note: Also the standard T55 socket will work. It's not as snug (loose fit but it locks in as you turn) so you gotta make sure it's properly perpendicularly aligned to the bolt or might risk the chance of stripping the bolt.

If you are buying this your likely trying to remove the seatbelts from your ford. it worked for my "03 F550, it wasn't easy (super rusty) but got the bolts out without breaking the tool.

So i got the 3/8 torx plus for timing chain jobs on phasers. Did the first timing chain, perfect i thought great, another jobs came and the tool wasnt there for me anymore, she call it quit lol. Very poor quality. Broke of, on second timing chaing job ford 2.7l engine.
