I feel this is a superior, quality product and I look forward to using it. The mat has a substantial feel - similar to a computer mousepad. Similarly, it is two-sided with a non-slip surface on one side to keep it in place on your work surface and a slippery surface on the reverse side for easy movement of puzzle pieces. I like that it comes with a firm, non-inflatable tube - similar to a swimming pool noodle and with a carry case to keep the the rolled up puzzle/mat clean while in storage. Customer Service was excellent and provided prompt, courteous answers to my questions. My only suggestions would be to include 3 rather than 2 velcro fasteners and an instruction sheet, alerting the customer of the presence of the second fastener etc. in the carry case.

This has made working so much easier. Material is similar to mouse pad fabric so pieces stay in place yet are easy to move around the mat. Placed it on husbands drafting table so I could raise the surface making it easier to work and not bend all the time. I was worried pieces would slide down but not a problem. ☺

I like the thickness and the grip of the mat. I wish less money was spent on the box and more on the velcro circles that join the two pieces of Styrofoam, or better yet, make it one piece. Then you could roll the mat around it, so when it ships it wouldn't be so difficult to get it all the way flat to work on a puzzle on it. Even in two pieces, you could roll the mat around them. While the box is beautiful and makes a nice presentation, ultimately I wanted the mat to be a bit more ready to go. When I was able to work on my puzzle, the velcro is stronger than the adhesive. It doesn't stand up to the Styrofoam (it is too porous, so it just doesn't stick well) and they have a much smaller diameter. All that being said, however, the mat is a nice size, it is thick, and it doesn't move. I've done several puzzles on it, and moved them around the house. It works well, and I haven't lost any pieces. Despite my little frustrations, I would recommend it.

I love this mat. The pieces move around easy and don’t stick to the mat. The mat stays in place on my table and is easy to roll up. When I unroll the mat the pieces are still in place. The carry bag to put the rolled up mat in is good too. I can carry it with me if I want to bring it anywhere. I’ve bought the felt mats before and the puzzle pieces always stick to the felt.

This is not as good as I expected. Still need to put this on a hard surface. I thought the styrofoam pieces hooked together somehow but they don't.On a positive note the mat itself is heavier than I thought it would be. These are usually just a thick piece of felt but this one is not felt. It has a nice sight to it.

works great. We used it on a cruise for two 1000 piece puzzles, building the puzzle in the cafe. The pieces already together stay together very well when rolled. The loose pieces not as well but we worked around that. They stay in the general area and we had to spend a few minutes laying them out again but no big deal in the big picture. It's not big enough to lay out all 1000 pieces on the mat and build the puzzle but we laid out a majority and built the puzzle on the inside. It's easy to pack in our suitcase and easy to roll up the puzzle. I suggest one more velcro strap for a total of 3. Many fellow cruisers expressed interest and we highly recommended it. If the seller sends us cards or something to hand out with the purchasing info we'll do that on our next cruise.

The material is great, so much nicer than just a piece of felt. Feels like it will last for a long time. Have used it with puzzles ranging from 200 to 750 so far. Everything rolled up nice and stayed in place, even the few loose pieces I left on the mat. The case is just a thin nylon/plastic material, but the mat itself is wonderful.

This is a perfect puzzle mat, as the sizes is large enough for larger puzzles while leaving room to work outside the puzzle area. The texture and thickness is nice for pressing pieces together and for elbows, too. The black color provides a good background for colored puzzle pieces. I've had other puzzle mats, but this one is hands down better!
