FD Coir Bricks are compressed coco coir(pith) bricks. Harvested from the husks of coconuts, coco coir has many benefits over peat moss. Originally thought to be a waste product, coir is now the leading substitute for peat moss. With coir's growing awareness, many users are realizing that you can also grow 100% in the medium, that is as long as some sort of nutrients are added. A renewable and sustainable growing medium, FD Coco Coir is superior to peat moss because it holds up to 10x its weight in water. Also, unlike peat moss, FD Coco Coir does not clump and allows irrigation and root penetration. Because of coconuts high lignin content, FD Coco Coir will not degrade as rapidly as peat moss, allowing for multiple seasons use from just one product. FD Coco Coir can be used 100% as a growing medium, for custom soil mixes, as a potting soil, or for seed propagation. After hydrated, the block will expand to about 2.5 cubic feet of growing medium. FD Coco Coir does not attract insects and is not harmful to pets. WARNING: NOT FOR COMSUMPTION.

Sterile, well ground
I use the coir to make cat grass for his highness. The brick is very compact but has kept reconstituted for months in a sealed plastic bucket with no mold issues whatsoever.

Excellent Brick! Worth the price!
It expanded to fill my Black Storage Container! (The ones usually used for drying dishes) A Whole lot! I will mix it in with my soil today/tomorrow.Only note: Please use 3 quarts instead of 10 cups of water. You WILL thank me later, haha.-Yoshi FibreDust Coir Bricks

It's kinda Ok
It's OK ... I expected more for sure ... Fully expanded one brick in a 5 gal bucket and I only goes about 5 inches from the bottom ... I don't think there's anything wrong with it but it's not economical considering a giant bag with perlite is only twice the price but 100 times the amount
