Extremely coat effective, responsive, consistent
I was forced into take a smarthub with my new Samsung and thought ok, what the heck and gave it a shot. I've tried tons of other smart devices so the concept of a hub made sense to me - keep things off the slow / buggy wifi and make a proprietary Samsung intranet off Bluetooth. I've never been happier. Some of the commerical smart bulbs are $50 and use a lot of idle power... this makes no sense. These are $10 at time of writing and work fantastic. Benefits -NOTE: I use Ethernet for the hub since wifi sucks. -setup by turning on the bulb, and simply have smart things scan for a new items. -turns any socket into a dimmable bulb -light quality is amazing par value for LED, much better than CFL and incandescent. Designed for home for sure, maybe 2500-3500K -integrates very easily with Google home and Alexa, I'm using all 3.... I want a color version please!!!

Finally, lights that don't get lost!
I mostly use full-color wifi bulbs from a different manufacturer. However, I am using the Samsung SmartThings buttons in the hallway to control the lights at night since the hallway switch is remote from the bedroom door. With the other manufacturers lights going through the SmartThings hub to turn on and off based on Samsung button presses, the lights were always getting lost, and the action would frequently need to be reprogrammed. When I saw that the SmartThings bulbs were available, I immediately bought two to test out. They work great! With a SmartThings button controlling a SmartThings bulb(s) via a SmartThings Hub, it all works, and it all stays connected. The light output isn't as bright as that other manufacturer's lights, but these lights don't cost anywhere near as much as those other lights, and honestly, they are bright enough. All in all, I'm very happy with the lights and expect to be buying more of them in the future.

This is a great bulb! I recommend!
I really like this smart bulb, I bought 2. I do not understand why people are getting so mad, if they read the description it tells you, you need smartthings. I have had smartthings for over 3 years now and I love it. This is just another great thing to add to my smart home. Its a fantastic price. It integrated with my hub with no issues. Yes, it is true, you need a smartthings hub for this to work, its not the end of the world like some people think. I recommend this light bulb!

Works great.
I have SmartThings and Hue. Hue came first, then I added SmartThings later as I noticed it was priced better. The SmartThings bulb is cheaper, which is great. It only comes in a single pack, which is disappointing. It would be great to have a 4 pack at a discount, or even just for convenience. Pairing the bulb is awesome. On Hue, you screw in the bulb and search for it with the app. That's fine, but with SmartThings, you screw it in and scan a bar code with the app. This is great if you are adding multiple lights in multiple rooms. You can go screw them all in and from a convenient location scan the bar code for each one and know which bulb you are configuring. The brightness is ok. It is on par with Hue. However, I wish it was brighter. In larger rooms it just doesn't seem to be bright enough. I used a lot of 100W bulbs back in the incandescent days. I miss that brightness. Next is the color temperature. These are warm bulbs like the standard Hue. However, Hue has an different bulb that does warm or cool white. It is expensive, but I like cool white better. I wish SmartThings would make a cool white bulb. I don't even need it to have the option to be warm. When the bulbs turn on or off, it does not fade in or out like Hue does. I like this better. There is a delay while Alexa processes to command (just like Hue), but the light comes on at full brightness, or at whatever setting you last had. As I said, I haven't has SmartThings as long as Hue, but one other thing I have noticed, is that they are always online. I do have issues with Hue bulbs not being accessible by Alexa. If that changes as my SmartThings system grows, I'll update this review. At this point I am not getting rid of Hue, but I am only using it with what it has today, or what SmartThings does not have such as colored lights. For all standard lighting, I am using SmartThings for any new additions.

Works great with my SmartThings!
Most of my house is wired with Zwave Outlets and Dimmers. However for the basement have the old school rope pulley light bulbs. Most of the other WiFi light bulbs don’t have good integration or required a separate app. These units so far work great and they mesh of each other to increase signal. Tip: When setting them up plug them to a nearby lamp next to your Smarthings. Once you have them all set-up move them where you want. It will save you a lot of time and will pair faster to your system.

quite pleased
I've really enjoyed this light so far. It was easy to set up, I can set it to turn on and off daily on a timer in the app, it's dimmable, and the light itself is a good color and brightness. Well worth the price to have ask these features.

Great Product
Easy set up, works perfectly with SmartThings App (IOS user) and with Alexa. Easy to automate light schedule with timing or with a phrase to Alexa and can dim on command.

NOT Z-Wave Plus compatible
These come up in a search for "z-wave plus" compatible led smart bulbs. They are not z-wave compatible despite showing up in all searches for z-wave plus. These absolutely will not work with HomeSeer z-wave plus systems.
