Does not work, physical issues
I had high hopes for this, as it is a great concept. The problem I had is that even after checking that the feed hole was fully pierced the chemical after 5 days had not come out to any degree. Finally I resorted to just shaking it out into the skimmer. While an interesting way to feed the chemicals, the result was very poor.

Wasted Money
Product not effective. There was no noticeable difference in the water temp after placing two solar balls in in-ground pool March and the second set of solar balls in April In South Georgia. Temp stayed at 60 degrees, no shade, pool cage. Current air temp at 89 degrees.

Except...
Yeah you get everything the say but the "blue" tool you need to poke a hole in the ball. It comes with the "white," much smaller poker or "tac." Which is fine to poke the smaller hole(s) but you will need a nail or screw to make the hole in the bottom of the ball. I called and was informed that they were out of the "blue" poker and to use a nail as a replacement. Not very convenient! However the product does reduce evaporation.

waste of money
I got my pool water up to 80° using hot water. Then I put 2 solar balls in my 14 foot round 3 1/2 foot deep pool. It did not maintain the temp. Or raise it. It rained all day and my water temp. Dropped to 73°... I added two more solar balls and nothing happened. My kids have not been able to use there pool at all. They swam 2 days then nothing since because the water is so cold. Do not buy these they do not work. Waste of money.
