New DB Electrical 430-22118 Tilt & Trim Motor Compatible With/Replacement For Yamaha F75LA, F90JA, F90LA, F90XA 2013-2018, F75TLR, F90TJR, F90TLR, F90TXR 2005-2012 6D8-43880-00-00, 10886N

Bought this off-season to replace the tilt trim motor that came with the motor and lasted 10 years of heavy use. I replaced the motor in the spring and it has gotten a workout this summer, no issues or complaints. I suggest watching a video on how to replace before starting. The trick will be fishing the wire through the engine housing. Also, depending on how big your boat is (mine is a pontoon) you will need to plan your approach. The engine must be up to get at the motor and if yours is a pontoon, you'll then need a ladder or manually lower the engine in order to complete the wiring. Its a pretty straightforward job and most with basic mechanical abilities can do this. Definitely saved me $$ doing it myself.

Replaced on 2006 Yamaha 90hp 4 stroke. You will need a 5mm hex key about 6 inches long, I used a 1/4 inch drive ratchet with hex bit for the back to bolts. Running the wire took some time to route to the electrical panel on the engine block. When you pull the old wire, attach a string to it and use the string to pull the new wire back through. Suggest you discount the battery while you are doing this, the trim motor terminals are hot with ignition key off. Make sure you put the engine safety locks on before you remove the old trim motor, the motor will drop. Trim motor works good. Perfect fit, I did use the old o'ring, looks bigger then the replacement.

Extremely solid construction and is a direct OEM fi for my 2015 FL90 Yamaha. The drive shaft and O-ring provided are not OEM quality, so I recommend re-using the ones your takeout during a replacement. A bit pricy but for the quality and peace of mind at the boat ramp that your motor will lift, it is money well spent. Highly recommend this motor.

Works fine at a fraction of the cost of Genuine Yamaha. It would be 5 stars, but I'm dinging it one star because the included o-ring was too thin and no way was going to seal. I reused the old o-ring. 'Wish I didn't have to do that.

OEM was $800! This doesn’t include professional installation. YouTube shows how to change it yourself. It’s 2 wires. In retrospect I probably would have cut and spliced and kept the original wires.

Perfect fit but use the old “O” ring. The one provided is rather thin. Arrived quickly. Getting the motor up is a different story altogether. Would be an added plus If they provided 4 new mounting bolts. It’s also quieter than the OEM motor.

The price was excellent. It installed easily, however I did not use the supplied gasket as it looks way too thin. Got the tilt working for a 1/5th of the cost for the OEM part. I think the OEM part is this device sprayed with Yamaha outboard paint.

Dont pay yam.This is the second after market ive put on my boat. Last one went 17 yrs! Original part lasted only about 7.

Exact replacement. Works perfect on my Yamaha F90.

This allows us to launch and remove our boat with ease, as we can lift the motor out of the water with the work of the automatic tilt trim .

Perfect fit, works great, BUT the O ring supplied was substantially smaller than the OEM part. Rather than risk water getting into the hydraulics, we used the original O Ring. Just an FYI. I don’t know if the smaller diameter O Ring supplied would allow water to seep into the hydraulics. Perhaps the Mftr could advise.

A date ce modèle remplace bien l’original qui a duré 8 ans. Reste maintenant à connaître sa longévité! On en reparle dans 1,2,3,4…ans !
