I bought this “used, very good condition” and it is totally like new. This is NOT a beginner instructional learning book. But it’s fantastic if you’ve already got basic and intermediate step knowledge.Written in 1998, it’s a comprehensive compilation of steps, definitions, combinations, common names of steps and combinations, instructions including steps

Book did not have illustrations.

Not in as good of shape as listed. Pages are bent and there are marks in the book. The spine isn't as crisp as it should be based on the condition. The book itself is very informative. It's quite detailed.

This book would be greatly improved with illustrations and would then be 5 stars for me.Tap steps are well described.The book is very comprehensive compared to other books I have seen.Useful for composing choreography.

If you are interested in both the history of tap as well as the individual steps you'll want to own this book. It's a great reference book, and also a joy to leaf through and learn new things.

Great Book for a tap dancer. Step descriptions are easy to follow. It's wonderful to have so much tap dancing information in one book. Love "The Tap Dance Dictionary".

This book very useful for cross referencing names of sequences and for dance instruction, each sequence is broken down into easy to follow steps.
