Great Build, Lots of Cables, 10yr warranty!
I had my second 1000 watt KingWin die on me in less than a year, so I abandoned the KingWin ship, and for only forty bucks more (and an extra 300 watts) this seemed like the no-brainer switch. I was EXTREMELY wary of the recall EVGA had back in October 2013, but it seems like a manufacturer with this kind of reputation and experience would know how to run a recall, and would also be d*mned sure they got it right the second time around. I know a warranty won't cover my equipment and data, but the 10 year warranty (which I'm sure I'll be using in about 8 years) from a company that probably won't be going anywhere (since they're one of the top mobo and vid cards manufacturers) clinched the deal. The PSU comes in a custom tailored cloth bag... meant to make you think of it like jewels, I assume. The physical unit is built solid as a rock with a nice, big, quiet fan (I definitely can't hear it over any of the other stuff in the case, especially the vid card). The exterior is covered with a sort of "hammered" finish that makes it look like a truck bed. The *fully* modular design is AWESOME. Also, the connectors (where the cables plug into the unit) are appropriately sized, unlike the KingWin plugs which are so HUGE (to refract the ridiculously gimmicky LED's I assume) that you can't thread them through your case. The EVGA PSU shipped with 1x24 ATX cable, 2x 4+4 pin EPS 12v CPU, 4x 6+2 pin PCI-E VGA, 2x 6+6+2 pin PCI-E VGA, (4) 3xSata, (1) 3x molex, (1) 2x molex + 4 pin floppy (?), and the power cord. There is a large nylon case to store the extra cables (I used all the SATA and molex, but even with dual vid cards and some other stuff, who could possibly use all those PCI-E cables?! --nice to have them though). They even throw in a bag of velcro ties to wrangle the cables. Very nice. If I have any complaints it's that the sata connectors are a little close together on the cable (if your sata devices aren't *right* next to each other, you'll have issues). I only have one sata connector left available, and no molex left over, so I guess it'd be nice to have a couple more sata/molex cables. [UPDATE] I actually had a full extra run of Sata (not just a single connection) that I overlooked, so there are actually 4 available sata connectors left in my machine. I recently purchased a USB 3.0 PCIe card that requires power via molex, so I guess I'll have to purchase a sata to molex adapter considering I am out of molex connectors that came with the unit. So far so good, but I'll definitely be holding onto the box, because there's no way something like this will last 10 years, and I definitely plan on taking them up on the warranty! FWIW, every PSU manufacturer, no matter how great, has some bad reviews. When I was researching which unit to buy, it seemed like such a crapshoot (and still does). Every single manufacturer has reviews with tales of "fried my mobo and all my hard drives!" When you're talking about something that has the power to kill thousands of dollars worth of equipment and ALL your data, a PSU is a pretty scary purchase. I personally had a bad experience with (2) KingWin, so I won't be using them any more. I can't say whether or not EVGA will prove more reliable on the whole (all of them every built), but I am certainly impressed at the onset, and the warranty at the *very least* least assures me that I won't be out the purchase price if something goes wrong. [UPDATE] Once again I have purchased something on Amazon that dropped in price three days later (fifteen bucks). I really wish Amazon would implement a purchase price safeguard. [UPDATE] Contacted Amazon within 7 days and was refunded the difference!

Owner of a 10 years old EVGA SuperNOVA!
I purchased this product for $179.99 exactly on January 26, 2016. This power supply has gone through 2 high-end gaming PCs and 2 cases. This is the only unit that always gets transferred between builds. 10 years ago, I made the decision to buy a power supply that would not let me have to math any power requirements. This decision has proven to be the right one to date. This is the BEST build quality and craftsmanship I have seen in any PC hardware. My system is heavily used every day and often left powered on for days. I have never once had any issues with this power supply. I would buy any EVGA products without thinking anytime of the day. This company makes quality products to last and their customer service is the best. Thank you EVGA for being loyal to your consumers.

This PSU lasted me 10 years and still works silently like a champ.
One of the best PSUs I ever owned. Lasted me 10 years before I retired it. Ran everything from SLi 1080 Tis to RTX 5090s (with a fasgear cable). Just amazing value for money. If you can find one can keep it as a back up PSU. Mine still rocks and I am not selling it anytime soon. Comes with tons of cables.

One of the best power supplies on the market!
I'm a computer aficionado. Been working on them for 27 yrs or so, building them, and everything in between. I work on a computer for most of the day. Sometimes up to 20hrs in a day. This thing is a beast. It's powering an Intel I7 5820k, 32gb Ram, Noctura cooling, 2x290x GPU's, 424i SC, 10tb HD's, 5fans in a Thor V2 case. Plus some more stuff. Great thing about it is it's not super noisy. A lot of the more powerfull PSU's are really noisy. I mean I'm part deaf(been standing in front of speakers since I was a kid, musician) and many of the high power PSU's you can hear in the other room. This one you can't. It's dead silent, but it is whisper quiet. I've only had it for 2 weeks, so far so good. Works like a charm. And it's got a 10yr warranty on it. Not only is the price great, but you know that this will probably outlast the rest of your computer build. Fully modular with plenty of connections, heck even the box is built tough!

If you need a lot of power for OCing or for multiple GPUs, this is a great choice.
I got this in 2014, and it has been a wonderful foundation for multiple builds. When I bought this power supply, I needed a lot of wattage - I had a 3930K with 2 GTX 780ti cards, and they were quite thirsty for reliable power. With several hard drives and high performance ram added in the mix, my peak draw crawled up near 900W when pushing it overclocking, and I didn't even go all that crazy with adding voltage. These days my wattage needs are much more modest - I run a 7700K with a single 2080ti, and it still has never once flinched. The only issue I ever had with this PSU is that if you start drawing over 600-700 watts, the fan kicks on, and it's a bit loud. If you're drawing that much power, your GPU and CPU fans will probably start getting loud too, so it's not that much of a problem. On the flip side, these days with one GPU I don't use that much power anymore... I haven't noticed the PSU fan come on in years. Again - if you need a lot of watts and you can get this for a good price, you will not regret the purchase. Don't forget to register your PSU on EVGA's website for the ten year warranty! I have dealt with EVGA customer support in the past, and they have always been helpful and easy to work with.

This is an Excellent power supply. very well made and quiet!! wow! I use mine for mining and its running 6 x 3060ti fe + risers + motherboard + 6 x 120mm Fans and I still got room to spare. The 10 year warranty is a nice touch, shows EVGA is committed to their product and knows it has a quality power supply. I highly recommend it!

Beaucoup de câbles. Rien ne manque. C'est du sérieux. Les câbles sont longs. Je recommande totalement. J'ai un méga ordinateur MSI X399 MEG Creation avec Threadripper 64 coeurs et 128 Go de mémoire et 10To de NVMe M.2 et 18 To de SSD.

You probably don't need this, in fact, most people would probably get away with a 600W supply and still have lots of power left over. But, if you do want or need all this power this really isn't a bad choice. It is reasonably priced in the segment and built well for the money. It's quiet, especially so when installed as "overkill" since it is barely breaking a sweat. But there are two important things you need to consider before purchasing: 1) It's a large power supply, you really should check the specifications of your case first to make sure it's going to fit lengthwise. 2) The 80+ rating of power supplies is based on a moderate load, percentage wise, relative to the overall power capacity. If this power supply is going to be way overkill for your set up it is going to be running much less efficiently than you might otherwise believe. So again, it's up to you whether you want or need 1300W but just keep efficiency in mind if you happen to be attracted to the 80+ specification.

EVGA dominates in luxury power supply, from packaging to actual product. This 1300G2 is a powerhouse, hope it lasts the long run.
