Rust-Oleum 249322 Automotive Self Etching Primer Spray, 12 oz, Matte Dark Green

This is a really good primer. If you’re painting bare metal, you need to use this. The etching primer binds to bare metal, giving the paint something to bind to. I use it on anything I paint. Works very well. As far as rattle cans go, rustoleum is my go to. I’ve tried other brands just to see them fail.

Works perfectly, no more paint peeling fills substrate, smooth finish

This worked very well for my application. I painted a hitch coupler that I welded up from bare metal. The primer was easy to apply evenly and made for a good looking top coat. It has held up impressively being used on an ATV trailer frequently towed over gravel roads.

Used this on an aluminum mailbox that needed some TLC. So far so good, the finishing paint is holding well to the aluminum.

Didn't quite layer up the way I hoped it would. Small imperfections were still visible after priming. Covered well though, dried fast, and didn't clog

Love Rust-Oleum. This stuff works great on valve covers.

Perfect for my restoration project

Some surfaces are coated with a rust and corrosion inhibitor, or is alluminum or other surface. This product helps to bind with the substrate. I use it as it is as its a grey, or greenish that matches a lot of things. Or a topcoat and it holds up well. I mean Rustoleum holds up well anyway in my experience but this adds another bond. The green product does not say automotive. Pretty much the same other than that! Not sure how this works on plastic, however rustoluem has another product just for alluminum.

Really good quality paint. This one in particular adheres very well and does what it says. Really happy with my purchase and considering buying more.

Product dries fast as stated. Applying 3 coats is the best results 1st very light coat 2nd little more of coat and 3rd the thickest cort without over spraying Used it for brake calipers and rusted centre part of rotor

Useful for Aluminium where paint adherence can be a challenge. Professionally packed and delivered in the suggested time frame.

This "paint" is amazing. I used it on a sheet of treadplate. Past experience had shown me that painting treadplate is difficult. This product made it very easy, it covers really well and gave me a very smooth "professional" finish. I then had no problems with applying an over coat, but I could have just left it alone as it looked so good.

Sold me defective product, never buy from Color Papers if you don't want to get into same trouble!
