Do the bases work with the Samsung oddysey plus headset ?

They need to Valve trackers to work at all. There are third party applications that work with Steam VR to allow other headsets to work with the trackers/base stations.

Why pay $325 when Valve has the same set of lighthouses for $298?

Because over the Christmas season, Valve was out of stock. Supply < Demand. Price increases to a premium for the existing stock. Go go Capitalism!

The red LED flashing is a hardware failure. This should be covered by warranty. Contact the seller and have the serial numbers ready (will need the original boxes)
