Growth chart stencil comes as multiple 8.5x11 sturdy plastic sheets.I wish this came with instructions as the measurements were off.The first sheet starts at 6 inches.... i didnt figure that out until i taped all the pieces on starting from the ground-when i went to measure length, it was off... so i had to cut off 6 inches of measurement hashes from the highest point of the sheets and tape it down to the beginning. You can leave the sheets as is but you will need to hang your scale 6” from the ground. I also found that in order to get accurate 1ft distances between eachother, i had to leave a small gap in between the plastic sheets.Anticipate if your growth chart will be sitting on the ground or hanging up 6in to get measurements correct.Leave small gap between plastic sheets for correct measurement.Check stencil against a real measuring tape before painting!!!I spent much longer than I anticipated on this. I hope the creator works out these problems to make it more user friendly.

I love the results, and how I didn't have to work hard for them.The only thing I didn't like was that I needed to use measuring tape to line it up accurately on the board. I spent the most time on that. .. which wasn't too long with the help of masking tape.Other than that they worked wonderfully!They didn't need to have any adhesive on the back in order for the stencil to come out looking decent.We bought a finished Maple board from Home Depot, which they cut for us to size.I used cheap acrylic paint from Michael's, and a cheap sponge paint applicator. (You can tell I want trying to make this look perfect ... I just needed to get it done after it has been sitting in my dining room for months while I procrastinated).I peeled them up, paint still mildly wet, against the grain of the wood.I took close ups so you can see it's not the most crisp or perfect paint line ever ... But good enough that I don't really notice. And I didn't really make any efforts to get it to look great ... So I'm impressed.I would definitely but these again!(But it would be better if they could be butt up against each other and still line up with my measuring tape.)

Great stencils. Durable. I can use these for years. I might start making growth charts for gifts, even. So easy to use. The only thing I recommend is that you measure to make sure you place the stencils on the foot marks evenly. You can't just place all the stencils next to each other or your marks will be off. I just used a ruler and marked each foot and placed the stencils so the foot line was centered on my pencil mark.Also, I made a seven stencil because my kids are tall. I just reused a dry stencil and placed the seven where it should go.

Holds up great! Used to make ‘growth charts’ for family members (see picture). Works great with spray adhesive to keep stencils in place and avoid bleeding but then washes completely clean. After 4 uses, these still look brand new!Extremely happy with this product!!

The stencil is not the way the picture shows. It starts at the 1/4 mark instead of the entire foot!! I now have to CUT the top 6’ stencil to connect to the bottom of the 1’ to make a complete foot. Wish I would have caught it BEFORE I painted it!! Really inconvenient!

The stencil worked great for my project. Very simple to use, tapped it the wood with masking tape and painted it with ease. Exactly what I wanted.

Very nice material was used to make this a sturdy not flimsy stencil. Fast delivery was very nice as well.

I got this to make a gift for my mother. She’s got 9 grandchildren and has their heights marked on the doorway into her kitchen. She and my father recently sold their house after 25 years so my husband is replacing the door frame to take the current growth chart with them and they will have this new one in their new home.
