I was surprised at how fast these failed given all the positive reviews. After only 2-3 uses I can no longer get the zipper to go together. Even laying it on the counter and using all my strength to pinch it together didn't work. Who has time for that anyway? Seller sent me 2 replacement bags and they worked a few times. I have since thrown away all from my original order and now just have the 2 replacements. Now 1 of those is becoming hard to close. Keep in mind I hand washed them, never in microwave, dishwasher or freezer. They have only been in the fridge. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement based on the money I wasted. The only saving grace is the owner is responsive and the first replacement he sent was the wrong bag. He sent the flat ones which appear to be thinner material. Those are still working well. So I wonder if this thicker material is the problem.

I bought these to try to reduce the amount of plastic baggies my family was using, and because of the good reviews. I mainly wanted it for my 4-year old's lunches, but couldn't find an option for just the small bags. I ordered the set of 5 that came with 2 small bags. I hand washed them before the first use. My first impressions were that the bag seemed to seal well, and made of thick material. I tried the second small bag, but it would not close AT ALL. Try as I might, the darn thing would not close. If I can’t close it, my daughter would be hard-pressed to close them as well. The large ones had the same issue. In summary, 1 out of the 5 bags I purchased actually worked.I usually keep the boxes for purchases, just in case. However, my husband threw the packaging away. So I guess I just burned money on this purchase.

I've had these for 3 months, and now I can't close any of them. No matter how hard I try, no matter that the grooves are lined up, they won't seal. Very frustrating, because the purpose was to REDUCE WASTE and now I have to throw them out since they're unusable for their purpose--storing food in a sealed container. The re-zip brand is more expensive, but they still work.

By September they wouldn't close. And believe me, I was persistent. I spend money , I want it to work. I can't throw them away. Like throwing away money. BUMMER

Although I really like the material and the gusseted bottom of these bags, after a couple of weeks of use, neither my husband or I could zip them easily. I ordered them because of the 100% reviews but am returning.At the same time I ordered the Envirogen gallon bags and they are holding up well so far, too bad they don't seem to make gusseted bags like these.

Opening is too tight and can’t fit much even for the larger size. And what are you supposed to fit in the small one??? It’s so small I can only fit like 3 olives for it to close. Not worth buying, very disappointed. Wanted to stop using the disposable but these are definitely not an option.

Tomato based sauces stain the plastic and you need a toothbrush to clean the grooves that "zip" it closed. These are not a good storage solution for food...maybe I'll use them to organize my "junk" drawer.

I read the recommendations on the use of these bags and I’m giving them a second try. So far they have worked well. I use them for cold foods such as pasta and vegetables, and I wash them by hand. I stay away from foods that can strain the bags.They stand neatly in my refrigerator and they are helping me manage leftovers.

These are fabulous, wish I had of bought them sooner. I use them to store our meats, poultry, fish etc in the larger bags, I also meal prep and marinate inside the bags and then toss them on the freezer. No leaks, no smell, easy to wash, love that the stand up giving me extra room in the freezer/fridge. Would love to get a pack with just the large ones next time.
