Boston Warehouse 40847 Sink Strainer and Stopper Enamel Lobster Pull Top with Fish-Shaped Holes

I knew it was junky the second I took it out of the box. It just had that cheap, thin, flimsy type of tin feel and look. I tried to push it down, it fit well but as soon as I pushed, it just broke right off. Save your money, time and trouble. Get something less cutesy and more durable.

Beware! Sounds like this works for some, but not for me. It is made of nice / good materials and is really cute. So I was very disappointed it came apart the first use. The rubber stopper plugged my sink and there was no drainage. But the first time I pulled the plug up to drain water from my sink, the fish broke off! Then I spent 20 minutes trying every way possible to get the rubber plug out of my drain. It took use of a screwdriver and pliers to finally remove the plug. Clearly, this does not work with my sling / drain.

Purchased this from Amazon about a month and a half ago and the turquoise part that makes the whale on the top fell off in the sink while I was washing stuff. Can’t return it because it’s past the return window. Also struggle with getting it to close down like it’s supposed to not user-friendly.

Ordered a whale, got a fish. Ironically I was replacing the fish one and couldn't find a fish so I bought a whale but magically got what I really wanted. Very nice strainer.

Bought this after our original strainer broke. It is super cute- love it - but it is hard to fit it in correctly. You have to position everything just so or else water drains right out. Still think it is great but not really able to use it as needed

We have a summer place near the shore and like adding these little odd touches. Who doesn't need a sink strainer with a lobster on it?! I was pleasantly surprised that it was just as sturdy as the standard sink strainer we already had, and even more surprised that it fit snugly as a stopper without water seeping down the drain. I can't guarantee it will fit in your sink, but it fit very well in mine.

Came apart the first use. Rubber stopper doesn’t star on and it doesn’t plug the drain. On the positive side it’s cute. I’m totally bummed it doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money.

Pretty good product. Functions well, but after two months of use, two of the enamel segments have come loose. It’s a heavy wear and and tear item, so that is to be expected. It’s a nicer strainer than others, so I’m not too upset. That being said, don’t expect your ornamental sink strainer to be pristine for too long if you’re actually using it.
