Lifesaver
I bought a pc tower from my local public library that was phasing out their old pcs for new ones. When I brought it home, I found out that it doesn't have the ability to use wifi and needed to be connected by ethernet cable. Due to the layout of my home, it would be impossible for me to run an ethernet cable to my pc tower. I was looking for a solution and saw this, and I was skeptical because of the low price, but I had nothing to lose. This adapter is amazing. It took maybe 2 minutes to install and run the program onto my pc, and connecting to my home's wifi network was easy as possible. It takes a few seconds for the wifi to connect when you turn your pc on, but that's not an issue at all. The connection is super reliable. I use it for gaming and streaming and don't experience any unusual interruptions. I ended up buying another one for my dad because his pc's ethernet port got damaged. This adapter has been working great for him too. Super glad I bought it

Terrific -- does exactly what it's supposed to do
I've gotta say I'm pleased and surprised -- this thing does exactly what it's supposed to at a fairly low price. My mother-in-law just moved to an assisted living community. Her previous apartment had a direct broadband connection; she had an Ethernet cable going from the modem into the computer. Her new place, however, provides WiFi to all their residents... but her desktop has no WiFi adapter. A friend suggested a simple USB adapter. Although I didn't recognize the manufacturer, this one had pretty good reviews (and an attractive price). It arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. The installation software comes on a flash drive. Put it in, type "Setup", it does its thing. Select the appropriate network and you're good to go! I haven't clocked the actual transmission speed; she's only going to use it for E-mail, watching YouTube, and the occasional Zoom session. It's working beautifully for all of those. I'm happy to recommend it.

Easy install, works great.
My wi-fi card died in my laptop. I was going to try to replace the card but found that it would be too complicated if not impossible for me to install one. So I decided to look for a USB replacement. This one does the trick. You will need either an internal or external CD drive to install the driver FIRST. This one comes with a mini-CD which I inserted, clicked setup and installed the driver and than rebooted my laptop. I then popped in the unit and connected quickly and easily. The speeds are about the same as my wi-fi card so I'm happy! Highly recommended.

Faster than my laptop's inbuilt wifi...but kept disconnecting..until I used USB extension cords
The speed of the adapter is faster than that of the internal wifi adapter of my laptop, but only when it's working. I struggled to keep it connected to my PC. It kept disconnecting with that USB sound no matter what I did. I reinstalled drivers, manually installed drivers, edited USB power saving options etc. but nothing worked. Until I thought that this could be a voltage problem. I somehow thought maybe my computer was giving so much voltage to the device that it would disconnect because the power was too much for it to handle. I know USB ports give out 5V by default, but I guess this stick was getting more than that. I thought this was the case when I tried the USB Wifi on my old Mac and found it was actually stable and never disconnected. An old Mac with an old battery.... So I thought there has to be a way to reduce the voltage by a small amount from my PC to the Wifi stick. Luckily I found two USB extension cords as you see in the picture that I put together and made to go from My PC to the Wifi stick and found that it worked! I learned that there is a voltage drop across USB extension cords and used that for this scenario and found the USB dongle no longer kept disconnecting. I hope this solution works. As of now, it has been working. I had previous USB wifi sticks that had the same issue but never thought of trying this idea out. I would always disable some Advanced settings in the configuration.

Worked great for a week....
This little usb wifi receiver worked great for a week. I had zero problems with it. But in the past few days it has a very inconsistent signal. It drops the signal constantly. I can sit right next to the computer it is plugged into with my laptop and the internet is working fine on my laptop, but I'll have nothing. If I open the utility window that came with the product installation, I can watch the signal go in and out, connect and disconnect. It's quite frustrating. I don't know if it is defective or if this is typical. The other thing that bothers me is that it is too wide and blocks the usb input right next to it. Will be working on a return, but it's a bummer because I can't really go without internet for a few days waiting on the return process. I am thankful that this didn't happen after the return window closed.

Worked Great... For about six months.
***UPDATE*** Shocked!!! All I did was put the truth up in my review and this company reached out to me right away and offered a solution. That is GREAT customer service. I did not expect anything as it is an electronic device and sometimes it is luck of the draw, on top of the expense is not a huge loss if it did die. Thanks EDUP LOVE for caring about your customers. It's really nice to see, especially with the lack of customer service these days. *** Previous review *** Like I said above, worked great, for about 6 months. Now it throws my computer into error mode, and it locks up and has to diagnose, and then restart. Guess I will look for another brand.

So far, So good
I bought the EdUp WiFi adapter because my old laptop was having connectivity problems (plus it only had 2.4g capability). So far, the adapter is working flawlessly. It was very easy to set up using the disk that came with it, and it hasn't dropped the signal once. Plus, it's been giving me the top 5g speeds available. I've only been using it for a few weeks, but everything so far has been working great. I hope it continues to do as well for as long as I have the laptop.
