4TIFY Bold Bright Liquid Matte Lipstick, Mysterious, 2.5g

Way too dark for me

I like the Mysterious color of this matte liquid lipstick. I'm in my 60's and Mysterious is a color that works well with my Irish/English inherited skin tone and grey hair. It feels nice on my lips: not drying or a coated plastic feeling (like another I tried recently). It stays on. I need to get out my makeup remover if I want to take it off. That's the good news.But, it's not all good news. With the tube I got the wand came out with clumps of lipstick even after mixing it for a full minute swishing the wand in-out and around. Rubbing off those clumps on the opening of the tube made application unproblematic for the most part.This 4TIFY matte lipstick isn't totally matte - there is a metallic undertone/shimmer in the pigment. I like this but it's not that matte one-dimensional look. I found I needed to apply a second time to get full coverage - FYI. This is a strange color - it looks dark red/purplish red on the wand or back of my hand, but on my lips it seems to acquire a copper like tone element. When I take it off on the tissue it looks like an intense dark red. I'm used to colors on my computer screen not exactly matching the product when it arrives, but not to the product color looking so different in different real world circumstance. Just odd.Application as mentioned is pretty easy until you miss an edge or need to clean up edges. This dries quickly to a stay-put finish that really lasts, but this also means a Q-Tip with makeup remover is essential to touch-up a less than perfect application.Speaking of lasting, if I want to take it off it's off to the makeup remover again. The good side is it doesn't kiss off or come off on glasses. Mine lasted through 2 meals without need to reapply.There is also a problem on my older lips which have those creases that come in age. No, it doesn't bleed once dry, but it does crack. It's not so obvious in a glance but close-up, say in a conversation. I can see it in my mirror and while it may not bother some and may not be a problem on younger lips it does bother me. Maybe if I used a lip primer this wouldn't be an issue?All considered this 4TIFY matte lipstick in "Mysterious" is a good color for this older gal of Irish/English background. It feels nice, has a nice metallic undertone, and lasts like crazy. But coverage cracks on my lips and I'm not inclined to take extra steps that might mitigate this effect. I'm giving this lipstick 4 stars because the cracking bothers, it may not be a problem on younger lips and I like everything else pretty much.

Love this color, "Mysterious"! It's not quite as it appears in any one of the pictures on this product page: It is closest to the color swipe in its deep rose-y red, with just the lightest touch of wine. But then take a look at the color that shows through the translucent tube, and you'll find the touch of gold that shows up well, especially on your lower lip.My advice, after having tried several of these 4TIFY lipsticks: Dare to try the bold. Dare to go out on a limb and try a color you've previously avoided. But definitely take some time to study the colors before choosing. (Sure wish there was a page where all the colors were lined up for comparison, but I've not found it.)This color "Mysterious" is luscious and sensuous. With the gold in it, I personally find it very suitable for evening events. It is bold. It is definitely bright. But its shine does not allow it to be called a matte finish as claimed. It is opaque, but it's not matte. I personally love it.I've tried several colors in this line, and only a few are too bright and bold for me. Some colors that I tried have surprised me in how great they look. I've learned that I like the bright and the bold. The bright matte pinks and the tones lighter than my skin color were not right for me. But the reds tinged with purple and/or gold, and those colors pushing into wine-y-ness.I did not rate this lipstick 5-stars simply because I love the color. I love the tenacity of the lipstick. I love the smoothness of application. I love how amazingly dense the pigment is. I've not had so much fun with lipstick in years and years!

4TIFY Bold Bright Liquid Matte Lipstick, Mysterious, 2.5gThe tube I received contains 6.5gmThis is a very pretty satin shade of RED with a bit of shimmer that can look pink if you sheer it out and is very buildable - one layer is all that is needed with this lippie. It does stain, so if you really like the color, it will stick around for a good eight hours. I found that a super light application and then blotted with stain your lips to perfection. I forgot how much I love red lipstick until I applied this one. Everyone needs a good red and this one is awesome. The bit of shimmer is a nice touch. It can be worn alone or with a topper as a base lipstick. One coat gives a lot of coverage, but if you want to make an impact, you can layer this easily to be extra. Just wait for the initial coat to dry down and then apply more. This remains on the matte side after it dries down. It is very easy and comfortable to wear. It has a slight chocolate scent. The packaging is really nice and it has a good doe-foot applicator in a frosted plastic container with a matte black cap.I really love this lip gloss. The color has a bit of a staining effect so when it does wear off, it leaves a bit of color on your lips. I found that this wore about 4 hours during a normal day but eating and drinking wore it off faster.
