Affordable, good quality merino base layer
I was hesitant about this purchase - merino has become a fad and any number of questionable companies have jumped on the bandwagon, selling products of dubious quality. I am happy to say that this product is not one of those, but is quite good.I waited to write this review until after I had worn this base layer many times, for casual and high-exertion activities (skiing). While it doesn't quite live up to the standards of the big name merino-wear companies (which it is directly patterned on, BTW), it is most definitely not a low-quality rip-off.This is a heavy-weight base layer or mid-weight shirt. I only wear it for skiing / snow sports in very cold conditions (but note that I run hot when under high exertion, YMMV), but it also serves very well as an every day shirt in cool-to-cold weather. It looks reasonably stylish, fits well (size S - I am 5'6" 145 lbs) and is reasonably comfortable as well. So far it has shown no signs or wear and tear, hopefully it lasts a good long while.

A new favorite, fits me great, nice mid weight
I ordered this like so many other things, prepared to send it back. Im so impressed with the construction fit and value that I wouldnt think of giving it up. No info on durability, but Im not worried. Nice material, good construction! Warmth wise I would say its about like a sweatshirt hoodie, but feels much nicer and isint at all as bulky. Fit: Im 6'2" 215lbs athletic. I bought XL and its perfect, fitted but not tight. More importantly the length is generous. Its cut slightly longer in the back and it comes down to about my jean pockets. Ill be buying more from these guys!

Quality. Soft. Warm.
Quality. Soft. Warm. I've tried a few other Base Layer products. Mostly made from blends of polyester, and polyester-merino.This is my first 100% Merino Wool made one. I was skeptical (even throughout researching). Wasn't really sure how much of a difference it would be. Wanted to take a chance to find out first hand. Noticeable difference! Mostly the feel. But also, some extra warmth holding. The weight of the base layer certainly makes a difference. This base layer is a bit heavier than the others I've tried. I've never had the option of picking the weight. I'm glad "Meriwool" Brand gives that option. Granted, it's been some years since I've invested back into Base Layers thus quite possibly more company's off the weight choosing option... But I digress.Good investment! I decided to purchase another in a different color. For the price, I certainly don't feel ripped off or cheated! Like I said, it was a good investment. I love the half-zip styles and this of course has that feature as well.Bring on Cold Weather!

Excellent warmth, tighter than expected
I typically wear a large shirt so I ordered this in large. It fits well but it a bit tighter than I expected. It's not uncomfortable and probably keeps me warmed with a snug fit than a loose fit. Maybe that's by design. Regardless, it's definitely great value for the money. I would also add that all of the Merino wool sellers would have you believe it doesn't itch. If you're thinking it will feel like cotton or a synthetic on your skin, don't be fooled. This is still wool. It definitely doesn't itch like a big ole wool sweater but it does have a tingle to it. I like the feel of wool on my skin so it doesn't bother me.

Comfortable fabric: Affordable Price!
Fantastic product! It is softer than other merino wool items I have worn. Very good quality piece of clothing! I would buy from them again!

Need I wear anything else!?!?
This is excellent! Wore it on a few different hiking excursions. Definitely keeps you warm, a bit itchy, but I got used to it pretty quick. Dried out pretty quickly and kept NO SMELL! On another occasion I wore it every day for a week as a base later when temps were low and again, super comfy, no smell! Will buy again; probably another long sleeve, but without the zip.

Great comfort, fit and warmth
Meriwool so far the only brand I've come across that not only comes close but equals the fit and finish of more expensive merino clothing brands. It has a ribbon around the inside of the neck for sturdiness and comfort, the fabric is woven just tightly enough not to snag, and it shows no signs of pilling, as some of the cheaper brands sometimes do. I'll be ordering another.

Um, nice fit and feel
Bought this for a cruise around UK islands in early fall. I tried it on and thought to myself, UM, interesting feel. It felt a little snug, more than I am used to, but then it is an underpayment, and I never felt wool right up to my skin. I can always wear a t-shirt under it if the wool bothers me. But after wearing it a short while, I decided that I really like it and will certainly be putting it to a test if the weather calls for it. It is nice that it curls up and take much less space in my luggage than a sweater.
