It's small for my 94 lbs 8 year old- challenging for him to reach back to grab - I used it for a haloween prop and we decided it was a better prop ( for looks) rather than a actual weapon! He loved it

Hi For what age group is this? I need this for my 7 year old to go with his ninja costume.

It's medium weight plastic. Works great for kids. My 6 year old used it last year for his costume.

Do the swords and daggers come out of the sheath?

No! The swords will go in the sheath but the daggers DO NOT have a slot to go inside the sheath. Perhaps they might have changed the design from the earlier ones but the newer ones don't have a slot for the sai daggers to go inside the sheath.
