I was pleasantly surprised with this paper. The colour is proper black - not browny black or faded black but black - black .😁I did a sketch with colour pencils of a friend’s black cat and I was really happy with the results. (See photo) I also sketched my white cat and the Colours were vibrant against the black background . ( unfortunately I can’t upload the picture 😬). I absolutely love how my pictures stand out. At the moment I am using it a lot but I’m going to try my pastels and pastel pencils next as it is suitable for these (see descriptions). I’m hoping that these will be good although I usually use a heavier paper. This is my new favourite paper!!! I will be buying more.

My daughter asked for a black art pad. Easier said than achieved I discovered and not cheap either. I don’t mind paying for quality art supplies but there are moments you question your own sanity. But, she’s happy.

Love working with it , makes me want to use all my fluorescent paints.

I used this for white pencil drawings, and it's one of the darkest papers I've used for good contrast with the pencils. Great for pencil sketches using Derwent / Conte drawing pencils.

I like the fact that this pad is jet black,not grey/black. Coloured oencils draw on it very well too. VerypleasedIbought it. Good value for money.

Das Papier ist richtig schwarz und dicker. Man kann sehr gut mit Buntstiften darauf malen ohne dass das Papier reißt! Und Bilder, die auf dem schwarzen Papier gemalt werden, sehen oder „wirken“ ganz anders als auf weißem Papier.
