Best for me so far
I have only been shaving with a double edge razor for about 4 months. there is a lot of practice, trial and error when you are starting out, so I have had my share of nicks, cuts, razor burn and also poor shaves. I bought a Vikings Blade razor (Vulcan model) for about 17 bucks off Amazon. What I learned is that after you have a good quality razor, It almost always comes down to the blades you choose. I also got one of those trial packs with 12 different brands of razors so that I could practice and find what I hoped would be the right one for me. I won't go into naming all of them, but it included Astra, Feather, Wilkinson, Merkur and other well known razors. Of course Feather was too sharp, Astra was too dull. I preferred Stainless over Platinum coated and because of that ended up choosing the Gillette Siver Blue (stainless) over the Gillette platinum. The cost is very reasonable and I usually get 2 or 3 shaves out of each blade. I know on the second if I'm going to get a third. I get a smooth shave, no nicks, cuts, or razor burn. I only shave 3 times a week (semi retired) so my pack of 50 razors should last the better part of six months. Every face is different so every razor will not be perfect for everyone. But if you are unhappy with the razors you are using, I recommend the Gillette Silver Blue for value, consistency and smooth shaves.

This is what DE shaving is supposed to be like!!
I am new to DE shaving and after ordering a new Feather DE razor with a 30 pack of their world renowned blades i set in trying to perfect my shaving technique and after several attempts to achieve a great shave like so many have raved about with this setup i was left with a sore, bloody, and irritated neck no matter how i varied my technique.i have a very thick beard and need a very sharp durable blade so after reading similar reviews to what i am posting now i give these blades a try.and WOW this is what i have been missing.this blade cuts so close and so smooth i couldn't believe it.It is as smooth as any 3,4 or 5 blade disposable razor I have ever used but the finished results are much better. There is no cuts, nicks or irritation of any kind and to be honest the 1st time I used it i thought something was wrong with how it fit my razor because i honestly couldn't feel any tugging or pulling like i had grown accustomed to until i stopped mid-shave and felt my skin and it was unbelievable. This is without a doubt the best shave i have ever experienced.I use Proraso sandlewood shave cream and the combination is as good as it gets as far as I'm concerned and my wife would agree 100%.If you need a sharp durable blade and the feathers are just too harsh to make your DE shaving experience the joy you know it could be give these blades a try.I had a hard time believing there can be alot of difference between 1 blade to the next but i stand corrected.Long story short i cant wait to shave now so if you need a sharp blade and like keeping the skin on your face give these blades a try along with a good shave cream/soap like Proraso offers and you will never go back to the 3,4,or 5 blade money wasting blades you have been using.I can honestly say that now my face is smoother 8 hours after i shave than it has ever been with the disposable blades i wasted so much money on was right after i shaved and my skin feels much healthier which could be a result of the Proraso shave cream or these blades im not sure but ill never go back to the old disposables again.

Best DE blades I've found, WAY better than Mach 3/5's and sooo much cheaper
Tired of plunking down nearly $50/month for Gillette's Mach 3/5 cartridges, I made the switch to shaving with a classic double edge razor and haven't looked back. Once getting used to the proper DE technique and finding the proper blades, I find I'm getting shaves as good or better than I did with modern cartridges, but only spending ~4/month on blades (this 50-pack lasts me about 3 months). What's not to love? As part of switching to the DE razor I tried out about 30 different blades before settling on these as my favorites. As DE blades go, these are on the more expensive end of the spectrum (costing more than low end alternatives like Derbys and Crystals), but I find they're worth it. I have a tough beard and manage to get about 3 shaves per blade with these guys (and because they're relatively inexpensive, I never feel guilty about throwing in a fresh blade). They're very sharp and shave smoothly, but don't leave me with razor burn, cuts, or ingrown hairs. I also appreciate the minimalist packaging and (likely) reduced environmental impact of using these blades compared to modern cartridges. For me, at least, this is the best manual razor blade available.

Looking good, and promising!
Ok, these blades show more promise than many blades I’ve tried. First of all: I do have a technique, and very sensitive skin. I’ve started by giving these, “newer” GSB’s” only a four star rating…this may change, so check back. These ARE made in Russia NOT India as some have said. Though, the packaging and the printing has changed. BTW: there is no glue there—it’s wax. The print with the spacing is the old blade, and the “cramped” lettering is the newer blade. Both blades are very smooth for my skin. The only thing that is different is that I have to go 3 passes rather than 2 to get a close shave. Not 100% necessary, but it’s my choice. I’ve experienced 2-3 minor nicks (weepers) and ZERO burn from both blades. Good for 2-3 shaves.

Sharp and smoother than anything else I’ve tried.
Favorite blades in Razorock gamechanger 105p and RR Lupo 95.

The best all-rounder DE blade for me
I’ve been shaving with a Henson safety razor for a couple of years now. Have tried Feather, Wilkinson, Astra, 7 o’clock, Gillette Platinum and many others. I love Feather as well (though at times they can be a bit too sharp) but these Silver Blues just hit the sweet spot of sharpness, smoothness and overall comfort. Feather may shave a tad closer but these have become my go-to. I shave about every other day and change these more or less weekly (3-4 shaves) and they perform consistently from shave to shave and blade to blade. Not quite as cheap as some but well worth it. I paid $10 for 50 so that’s a fair price to pay for a great year if shaves.

Best DE Blades in the World
I love these blades. They shave extremely closely without even a nick. They are sharper than most blades, but not as sharp as Feather blades, which are a little too sharp for me. Everybody is different, but I would highly recommend these blades.
