I will repeat Nicolas K's review. "like the way the pen writes. It has a good weight to it and feels nice in my hand. However, there is a major draw back. The pen cap doesn't securely fit on the top of the pen. That makes it difficult to write with the pen cap on top and a hassle to keep track of the cap while you’re mobile, which is what this pen is meant for."Because the pen cap will not fit securely to the pen top, the pen is unbalanced for writing and the top will eventually be lost. For me, this is a deal breaker. No - I would not purchase the pen again. Instead, get the Atomic Bear Tactical Pen - Self Defense Pen and Window Breaker with Free Pouch and 2nd Ink Refill ast $14 for a good and inexpensive tactical pen. Rich A

It's a nice feeling pen, non-threatening looking. However, the clip has gotten loose and I can't take the retaining cap off to bend the clip back tighter. It's not a comfortable pen to write with. If there was a way to attach the cap that might help the balance of the pen when writing. As it is, you have a loose cap to either hold onto, put in your pocket, or set down and forget. Like the shape and color, but some attention to functionality would have made it so much better.

The Rebel tactical pen is fantastic !It doesn't look like a tactical pen and that's its greatest asset in being unnoticed...It has a heft to it that is disguised by its slim profile... It will be devastating when coupled with a "hammerfist" !I have written with the "regular pen" and it writes smoothly !I've ordered 2 more Rebel pens based on what I saw in the first Rebel pen...I'm giving one to my wife as an alternative to the typical tactical pen since it doesn't look the part...BTW, she is a retired firefighter/EMT who has taken an "active shooter scenario" course and was shown a tactical pen during that course and she has taken the "Tactical Combat Casualty Care" course that was part of the "Active Shooter" course... Even responding to a fire or EMS call can be dangerous and deadly...Then, there's the usual thuggery ( assaults, etc. )...Again, thank you Atomic Bear !

This is another terrific product from Atomic Bear. I also own the SWAT tactical pen. Both are high-quality pens. The Rebel isn't as beefy as the SWAT but it's not supposed to be. This one is made to fly under the radar of detection technology, so to speak. It's more aesthetic and looks like a regular pen. The Rebel should be perfect for those of you who fly alot as I imagine it will draw no scrutiny from airport security. Excellent pen. Highly recommended
