You can spend £1000 on pair of Oxfords or Brogues, if you really want. For the rest of us, "premium" shoes are usually English-made shoes by Church's, Loake or Barkers (all of which I've typically bought). Shoes at this level are a real high value investment: if maintained properly, a good pair of Church's will easily last 5-7 years and still look great, as well as feel brilliant. Compare that with buying cheapo shoes that look cheap out of the box and look terrible after 8 months, do the maths and make up your own mind what's the better investment.So, back in 2015, I was really interested in this Loake model, which appeared to offer good quality at a keener price. Having bought these, I can confirm they're excellent shoes, as you would expect from Loake and, four years on, they still look great and fit perfectly. And while these are perfectly serviceable and look far better than my colleagues' lesser brands, I sprang for another pair. Why?I needed a spare pair and these have proven to be a great investment. These are made of very high quality hide, excellently executed, with no flaws, excellent stitching and very comfortable. A few things to note:1. These are actually made in India, but don't let that put you off. These shoes are immaculate (I'm used to English Loakes and whilst not identical, they're very good quality and excellent value for money at half the equivalent price).2. Subjectively, these start off a little stiff and will take a little more wearing in than other high premium brands and the laces are not the best (but again, appearance-wise, nobody would notice).3. I had absolutely no sore feet or heels after first day wearing. Very nice. :)A few other reviewers seem to have got in a bit of tiswas over these not being English made, and inferior quality, but frankly having worn these for over four years and bought again, I think they're all blowing smoke. These are great. I've worn them for long walks (try Christmas shopping up and down the entire length of Oxford Street) and felt these to be just as comfortable as if I'd worn trainers.And for those who seem to have destroyed theirs after little use, well I suspect either they got a defective pair (possible) and should return them, or are just careless with shoes. After all, the best leather-soled shoes, without rubber stick-ons will wear through quite quickly. Just a few precautions (stick-on soles as soon as you buy them; polish at least once a week with good polish; unlace them to take off/on; use of a shoe tree) are all that is necessary to keep these looking great. And you'd need these with "real" Loakes too.Whilst I'd normally give £300 Loakes 5-stars, these are very good quality, with excellent value for money at this price point.Recommended.

First time ever that Ive bought a pair of shoes 'blind' without trying them on first in a show shop.They arrived very quickly via RM.I am very impressed with the fit and quality. These are excellent value for money, they look and feel like far more expensive shoes.Im so pleased with them that I have just ordered a black pair.

Even Loake shoes cannot be resoled forever, so the time came to replace some old friends. These shoes are a worthy replacement, with proper leather soles so they can double as dance shoes if you've forgotten your suede soled shoes. The quality is all you would expect, and I'm sure that with good acre and polishing these will last for the ten years their predecessors lasted. Very highly recommended.

I have been wearing Loake Shoes for about 40 years, good fit, stylish, and plenty of room for a wide foot, would recommend.

While the online photography of the shoes was slick, it sort of hid the true colour of the shoe. It wasn't way off, but there was enough difference for you compare the shoe with the picture to make sure you had the right one. Maybe a few customer pics would be better.

Stiff. These are not the originals which are made in the UK and not worth the money. Very stiff leather, tight to wear and clearly inferior quality to the UK manufactured ones.

Very disappointed with them. Made in India and not England as advertised for all Loakes. Not for a broad fit and the leather isn't very soft and pliable. Very stiff and uncomfortable and still getting over the blisters due to poor quality.

Good quality shoe from a great company. I am a size 9 and these are a perfect fit.

Cette paire de chaussures est le modèle 200B pour homme, de la collection L1 de Loake. Cette collection L1 est l'entrée de gamme du fabricant de chaussures Loake, les chaussures qui la compose sont produites dans des ateliers Loake en Inde. Tout est en cuir à part le talon qui est en plastique et l'intérieur de la chaussure. La semelle est en cuir cousu Goodyear qui permet de changer facilement la semelle quand elle est trop usée. C'est un oxford, c'est ce que l'on appelle en France un richelieu. La forme de la chaussure est caractéristique, c'est le style classique anglais avec le bout et l' empeigne très larges (largeur taille G) et arrondis séparés horizontalement par une couture. Il faut préciser que le cuir de dessus est en cuir mais il a subi un traitement spécial, il est recouvert d'une pellicule extrêmement fine de plastique ce qui lui donne un aspect brillant en toutes circonstances. L'entretien demandé par ces chaussures est minimal, un coup de brosse, le passage d'une éponge humide suffit pour avoir aux pieds des chaussures rutilantes. Une vraie aubaine pour les personnes qui sont toujours pressées ou qui n'aiment pas se salir les doigts avec du cirage. Il faut savoir qu'en contrepartie, le cuir perd en souplesse, et cette rigidité à laquelle s'ajoute l'impossibilité de le nourrir avec des crèmes produira inévitablement plus rapidement, en comparaison avec les autres modèles de chez Loake réalisés avec du cuir pur, des craquements au niveau des plis d'aisances La fabrication indienne est moins raffinée, les finitions, les coutures, le diamètre des lacets et des œillets sont de facture plus grossière et sont plus visibles, mais ne perdons pas de vue que c'est une entrée de gamme. Sinon elles sont robustes.Personnellement je préfère les chaussures en cuir normal, sans matière plastique dont l'éclat est artificiel, mais si vous ne voulez pas de complications et recherchez une paire d'oxford des plus simples pour une utilisation au quotidien, à un prix raisonnable ce modèle est tout à fait adéquat. Un petit rappel encore ce style anglais n'est pas conforme à la tendance actuelle qui met en avant les souliers aux bouts étroits et pointus donc faites bien attention avant de les acheter, et surtout réfléchissez bien à la tenue avec laquelle vous allez les porter, une coupe slim par exemple ne coviendra pas du tout.

Ausgezeichnete Herrenschuhe mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. War auf der Suche nach eleganten und bezahlbaren Oxfords für den Büroalltag. Die Passform ist wie bei allen meinen anderen Herrenschnürern auch (trage in Herrenschuhen 43, in Sneakern 46), beding durch die Oxford-Schnürung ist der Schuh aber nur etwas für jemandem mit normalem/niedrigen Spann. Hervorzuheben ist der sehr gute Kundenservice und schnelle Versand bei DukeDuchess auf Amazon.

Der Schuh passt wie erwartet. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr solide und wertig.Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist für mich optimal.Ich hatte schon einen Schuh von Loake und habe deshalb eine etwas andere Version in anderer Farbe nachbestellt.Bin auch nach längerem Tragen des Schuhs noch zufrieden weil er einfach gut passt und durch dasLeder inkl. der Ledersohle keinen Schwitzfuss oder sonstwelche üblen Nebenwirkungen hat.Klassisch in der Form passend zur Jeans wie auch zum Anzug.

Etwas fest sind sie schon. Wer Hühneraugenempfindlichkeiten hat, ist mit einem solchen Schuh vermutlich nicht gut bedient. Der Fuß wird recht fest umschlossen. Allerdings sind sie in der Sohle nicht so hart und unflexibel, wie ich es von anderen Marken rahmengenähter Schuhe kenne. Solche hätte ich z.T. nur zum drin stehen genutzt. Also doch erstaunlich gehfreudig. Habe aber erst einen kurzen Versuch unternommen. Außerdem: Die From ist wirklich gut getroffen: klassisch-elegant, ohne klobig zu wirken.

Good shoes, good brand, swift delivery.I learned from a previous Loake purchase that their sizes are about half a size larger than any other shoe I have ever bought. I advice to order any Loake shoe in ½ smaller than what you'd expect you need - (go to a store and test my claim).

non e' il primo paio di Loake che acquisto. Soprattutto all'inizio molto duro. Ci vuole qualche settimana per sopportarlo. Ma dopo due anni ancora in gran forma. Qualita' della pelle buona. Usato per il lavoro si e' rivelato un ottimo compagno di avventura. .

Schuhe sind sehr gut verarbeitet und passen sehr gut. Müssen allerdings noch ein bisschen eingetragen werden, ist aber für Leder ganz normal. :)

Wie erwartet eine top Qualität von Loake, sowie eine pünktliche Lieferung vom Webshop.Kann ich nur empfehlen, wenn man die Lederschuhe im klassischen Einzelhandel satt hat.

Loake eben - top Qualität.Bei diesem Schuh kann man nichts verkehrt machen. Rahmengenähte Volllederschuhe zu dem Preis ist ein Schnapper.
