USANA Sense Perfecting Essence

This is my opinion based on use of USANA SENSE face products (daytime moisturizer, toner, cleanser, pefecting essence and nighttime moisturizer): I tried these products and HATED THEM. They dried out my skin and caused a severe rash. My dermatologist indicated that he has never seen good results from this line. I was hooked by their organic, flowery website... but user beware. Independent sales representatives are pushy to sell, but not eager to help when you have bad results.Stick to more established and reputable skin care lines. Please note, I am a consumer and in no way affiliated with any competing companies. I just don't want anyone else to be impacted negativley by use of this product.

My face was as close to perfect as i could hope for. However, I was looking for something paraben free, so I decided to give this line a shot. I bought a starter kit. My skin is drying out, becoming less smooth, and developing uneven tone ( I assume because of the dryness). I think it is a mix between the fact that the toner contains alcohol, and the daytime moisturizer doesn't have a high enough SPF (only 15).I'll be going back to my hodgepodge routine of Murad, Jurlique, and Obagi products.

I was really surprised by how well this product worked. However, first my disclaimer: In the interest of full disclosure, I have to say I joined the Usana team for $[...] as an associate because I was looking for vitamins and I thought I could get credit for buying from myself. Also, (in the interest of full disclosure), from my research, I did not feel comfortable with all business practices but I couldn't find anything negative about the products (except cost).I received a sample of Sense products and I saw a change overnight when I used the cleanser, toner and Perfecting Essence. I was actually very pleased with the way perfecting essence felt when I put it on. My skin is so oily that I am extra conscience of what products I use after the cleanser. I've tried a lot of products and I have to admit, I usually walk away disappointed. This product was actually absorbed into my skin immediately making it feel hydrated but not creamy or oily or anything. After I put it on it just blended completely into my skin with no residue. I actually went to look up the ingredients. One of the ingredients is a little known product called squalene (or squalane). Great moisturizer that is instantly absorbed into the skin. I researched it and then I actually went to pick some up at a health store. (By the way, a little squalene goes a long way). I also picked up another of its ingredient - shea butter (raw). I like the squalene by itself but I really like the Perfecting Essence blend. I would recommend this product.I can't give it 5 stars because of the upscale department store price tag.

This product is absolutely my favorite of the Sense' skin care regiment, and that is why I rated it Excellent. Give it a try - it's fabulous. Makes your skin look and feel soft and younger.

I have used many skincare products, including Obagi and other pharmaceutical skin care products. These are great skincare lines but I would not use them on an everyday basis. With Obagi, you are stripping and resurfacing which is needed if you have a lot of skin discolorations. In fact, I highly recommend it, but not on an ongoing basis. You strip , resurface, do your chemical peels and then its time to call it quits and add nourishment to your skin. This is what I use Usana for . It leaves me with a healthy glow and my skin feels really soft and smooth. I get compliments when I use it. Well I just picked it up again for the fourth time, its been three years since I used it last and I cant believe what it has done for some of my scars that I thought would never go away, Ive tried everything. Just from one use, I can see a difference and that it just might be possible for me to get rid of these scars with this skin line. I guess my skin really needed some antioxidants. For me, its not about which skincare is better, its about the level of skincare that I choose or need at the time. Now that all of my stripping is done, my skin obviously needed some nourishment that I cant get from any other skin line, at least the ones I have tried so far. The reason for my review, is that I have realized how good this really is for my skin and I hope this skincare will be around for a very long time. I use the whole skincare regime. I find nothing looks better than healthy glowing skin, no matter how many wrinkles you have or even age spots, healthy glowing skin is what turns heads around. Rosie Miranda

I am 19 years old. I go to college, so I do have major stress in my life.I really like this product. I also have rosacea, after using this product, it has kind of disappear/been controlled.So my face is now nice and smooth!It might be expensive but one bottle goes a long way!Since I have rosacea, my skin is sensitive too! This product works so well. It doesnt sting or anything!

I have used these products and wish my budget allowed me to buy the entire line monthly. If you are looking for a miracle, then this isn't it. However, they do absorb wonderfully into the skin and they do restore a glow to skin that I thought I'd lost. I'm not sure what the prior poster meant by her dermatologist saying the line never returns benefits. My doctor uses USANA products and she provides skin treatments as part of her practice. She's happy as can be.
