I am moving in the next year and I am not sure if I will have a hammock in my backyard so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. However, I have a backyard currently that has two trees exactly spread apart just begging for a hammock.This feels like a quality canvas material. I have washed the hammock twice already from staining from leaving it out - bird poop, some berry fell on it... it held up and was not damaged at all. I decided to put a hook on my covered patio so I can take it down so I don't have to unnecessarily wash the hammock all the time. I leave the mounting on the trees for easy 10 second set-up when I want to use.My only complaint is that the metal rings (inside the part of the hammock that hooks up to the tree) are loose. I could probably glue them on, but they still work as a barrier so I haven't bothered.Don't forget to buy carabiners if you are not hooking up to a stand. I was all excited and had my mounting kit and was like Doh! what can I get in the next day so I can get this up. I just used some fairly cheap climbing ones and they do the trick. Only thought is that I got a standard 3" size carabiners and it would have saved me a little hassle to get something larger. Luckily I am not taking those on and off the actual hammock.Happy relaxing!

I had been looking for the best hammock to use with my existing stand. I have several hammocks but I was still trying to find "the one". After several searches, I found this one which resembled the Venezuelan hammocks I grew up with (which are much more expensive). I love the fringes!! The hammock is made of a sort of canvas material which is comfortable on the skin. It is shorter than most, but that was precisely what I was looking for. It fits my adjustable stand using the shortest setting. It was a little tight fit, but after sleeping in it overnight, it stretched a little and now it fits exactly as it should. I agree that this is best for indoor use as it will be susceptible to the elements. I had to air it out for several days for the initial smell to finally disappear (sprayed Fabreeze and even Lysol in the process). I chose not to wash it prior to use to avoid the risk of shrinking the hammock. Unless you have an adjustable stand, this hammock is best suited for walls or ceiling mount. All things considered, I most highly recommend this hammock.

Great texture

I bought this for an 8' wood hammock stand. I was a little upset at first because it didn't seem like it would fit on this stand. After a little pulling and stretching I managed to get it on the stand. After laying in it for a while it stretched and relaxed and now it is just beautiful. It is not a white/white color it is more of a very nice off white color which I was hoping it would be. The fabric is of nice quality and should last a long time. I am happy with this purchase. Just wish it was not so hard to fit on the stand. If you have one to the larger stands I would say this will not fit on it.

Great hammock with thick canvas material. It does not have a spreader bar, so it is more of a cocoon. It may be two-person, but only if you don't mind being on top of each other. Much better as a one-person. We still like it and will use it.

It's not white, it's potato sack colored... if you were wondering. But I love this hammock. Dont forget to buy the equipment it needs to hang it. It should be in "suggested" or "often bought together" underneath the product.

Exactly what I was looking for 1/2 the price. Large enough for two people. Beautiful macrame design makes it look very elegant and pretty. Sturdy design gives you a piece of mind that you won’t end up on the ground. Definitely give this one a try!
