Live locusts are a favourite meal for many lizards and are an excellent live reptile food as they are chunky and wholesome. They can provide a staple diet for many of the larger reptiles. Very popular food for various Lizards including bearded dragons, Leopard Geckos, Frogs and Water dragons. Locusts have some of the best nutritional value and this is down to the high vegetable gut content of this insect making them perfect for your pet. These highly nutritious insects are an ideal food source for most Lizards. Live locusts are a good alternative to crickets as they are slower moving which makes them easier to handle. Their higher protein level is also beneficial for egg-laying lizards. Because they are slower moving they are easier for lizards to catch and eat. If a lizard keeper should accidently put more locusts in with the lizard than they are able to eat at once there is no danger of locusts biting the lizards back. It is important to dust your locusts before feeding to the host animal with a good quality calcium, vitamin and mineral supplement once or twice a week and a good idea to dust with a calcium only supplement for all other feeds. Locusts
I ordered 200 large not sure all were large. They arrived quickly. Ill order again but the bag is a nightmare. 100 i put in a exo terra. 100 i fed from bag but the amount thats out run me and now are loose in here is annoying. They dont need such big bags and im sure its costing the supplier more money. Overall pleased with them though

Very very pleased 99% all alive quality very good ordered 50 but it was more than that highly recommend

Bagged live locusts
Locusts seem healthy on arrival, they come inside a tightly sealed bag with large 'egg box' inside. Just be aware that they are in a bag and quite tricky to relocate to a feeder tank if you have little room, so don't expect the pet store style plastic containers and if you don't use a large tank to store live food then this might not be suitable for you.

Really Impressed
I was actually dreading this delivery arriving, becuase, through no fault of the supplier, Royal Mail had kept the Locusts hostage from early Sunday when posted until late Thursday afternoon when finally delivered 🙈 As you can imagine I was half expecting a box of 200 dead Locusts......BUT to my surprise I received all of them bar 4, yes, just 4 deceased. Really healthy, extremely thirsty and hungry obviously, but again this was through no fault of the supplier. Sizes all match up too, Large = 25-35mm as stated. Will be using again.

Fantastic value
Always alive and last a long time and delivery is so quick. Works out much cheaper than the local reptile shop which charge £6.50 for around 30 locust. Which i have to pay to drive to and pay for parking
