Quality adapter for GPUs needing 8 pin from 2 x 75W 12V 6-pin supplies.
If your GPUs have an 8-pin PCIe socket and your PC has 2x75W 12V 6-pin PCIe supplies from a PSU with adequate capacity, you need a quality adaptor that is rated to carry up to 150W @12V. This one complies, and I have four of them in use without problems at present, in a HP Z600 with a 650W PSU (using a 2x SATA power to 1xPCIe 6pin adapter to get the second 75W PCIe6) feeding an ASUS Turbo GTX 1070; in two HP Z800's with 1250W PSUs and GTX 1080s; and in two HP Z440s with 700W PSUs and a GTX 1080 and a RTX 2060. All work fine at max power in benchmarking and all connections and cables stay cool.

Worked like a charm
It fits only ONE Way... Took me 10 minutes to figure that out. No issues, no problems. It's only been a few days since install - if i have any issues, I'll report it here.

Allows The Installation Of A Newer (higher power requirement) Video Card In HP z820 Computer
(background)---------------I purchased a used HP z820 Workstation a few years ago and recently began working with a LINUX (UBUNTU) installation that I'd installed (dual-boot with the existing Windows 10) some time ago.I ran into a problem when I updated UBUNTU to the most recent distro (24.04LTS) ... the computer display resolution dropped (from 1920x1200) to 640x480 ... making it very difficult to do anything. What I learned was that the video card in the z820 (an NVIDIA K5000) was so old that the LINUX Kernal that UBUNTU 24.04 installed is no longer compatible with the Driver software from NVIDIA. The 'temporary solution' was to switch to the 'Nouveau' (sp?) open-source driver ... though people report it sometimes causes problems. What I decided to do ( my 'long term solution' ) was to replace the NVIDIA K5000 Video Card with one of AMD design as, by all reports, AMD is reasonably 'open' with their driver information and recent UBUNTU distros come with the needed driver for most AMD video cards.----------------------------(Why this adapter cable was needed)-------------------------------------------I purchased an ASRock RX 6600 Video Card (GPU) for my HP z820 Computer but then realized that it has a 8-pin supplemental 12 Volt power connector (on the top of the card) whereas the 12 Volt GPU power cables in the HP z820 (with the 1025 Watt Power Supply there are three) have a 6-pin connector. The solution was to get a dual 6-pin to single 8-pin power cable as that allows the (potentially) higher current drain of the RX 6600 card (compared to the NVIDIA K5000 video card that was originally in the z820) to be pulled from two of the z820's GPU power cables. With this cable my upgrade of the HP z820's video card to the RX 6600 went with very little difficulty. (I had to leave off the internal 'shroud' that covers the PCie portion of the z820's motherboard as the RX 6600 card is 'taller' than the K5000. Since the RX 6600 card has two on-board cooling fans I didn't feel that this would pose a problem.)

Excellent quality cable
I bought this Dual 6 Pin Female to 8 Pin Male power cable in March 2022 for my GTX 1660 Super (also bought from Amazon around that time) for my DELL XPS 8700. It revived an old DELL machine and gave it new life by allowing the existing DELL OEM power supply to connect to the GTX 1660 Super. The power cable hasn't failed me yet. Will report back if it does.

Works perfectly!
Had an older PSU with two 6 pin 12V power cables, but new graphics card required single 8 pin power input. This adapter worked as intended.

Inquire about the pin layout before ordering!
pin layout for this cable was wrong for my needs, and I had to cut and resplice most of the wires to make it work. Probably not the manufacturer's responsibility, but it would have been nice to have had that pin layout available before purchasing. I don't fault them for this as I suspect they would have provided that info if I had inquired before ordering

Works without issue
I bought this for use with an RTX 3060 graphics card, was flawless. Works great with a GTX 1070, and an RTX 3070 as well. I've also used it with another adapter to go from 4pin peripheral connectors to 6 pin peg to connect a GTX 780 Ti using it, and if wired properly it doesn't get warm at all. Solid build quality.

Glad that this product exists
I bought a refurbished Dell T7810 workstation some time ago. I ordered an AMD RX 580 graphics card (clone). It needs extra power on the top of the pcie supplied power. The power cables on the motherboard are 6-pin. The adapter put two 6-pin cables into one 8-pin cable, giving enough power for the RX 580. The price is reasonable.
