Gates 90K-38178A Complete Serpentine Belt Drive Component Kit

Works great! I’m a 60+ year old woman and I changed all the pulley’s myself but I had my brother help me with putting the new belt on. I can see why some people say the belt is too short. You really have to move the new tensioner down to make room for the new belt. I used a breaker bar to move it enough to get the belt on. There isn’t much room to work. Well worth the money.

It all worked as advertised. However the bearing wasn’t exactly a perfect match, it doesn’t fit 100%. I kept the old one in case. I decided to give the new one a chance and this far it’s worked just fine.

I had actually bought one of these about 3 years ago and I guess it wore out after about 40,000 miles. I also have a leaking power steering so perhaps the fluid messed with the lifespan as well. After those three years I started to see the tensioner kind of jumping up and down somewhat. And when I took it off I noticed rust on one side and kind of a leaking fluid but I can't say 100% of that is from the inside or if that was from my power steering fluid that I'm constantly pouring in and out. Also sometimes lay down in my truck and I know if it developed a kind of bumping feeling when it was idling and now that I have changed it it has gone so I am glad about that.

This product comes well packaged and is made of high quality parts. All parts fit perfectly and were easy to install. Will buy again when the time comes.
