GuliKit Portable Dock Replacement Case for Nintendo Switch, DIY with The Circuit Board Chip from The Original Dock - Only The Case

I had no trouble assembling the little dock. A clip inside the Nintendo dock holding the circuit board broke, but that’s not Gulikit’s fault. The dock as a dock works fine.My only complaint, and why I gave this 4 stars, is that the dock mode button on the back recessed into the housing the first time I pressed it, making it unusable. Honestly I’d probably never use that button, but if you think you might, that’s something to consider.In the box was a request for feedback and an email address from the manufacturer, so I wrote them about the button. Their response was “So sorry to tell you the DIY Dock can't use the switch mode button.” So I guess it’s good to know they feel sorry.

Best of it's kind. I knew what I was getting. Loosing a few ports isn't an issue. I wanted a slim dock that was official to avoid possible issues. This fits perfectly and you can reverse it if you choose. There was no power light so I paired it with a monster HDMI cable that lights up green when in use. Works as intended.

Works well as a portable dock. Losing 2 USB ports wasn’t a game breaker but would have been nice to still have use of them.

Cons:1. You lose 2 USB ports!!!!! Others still allow you to still use them. They are still there it just covers them up.Pros:1. It’s super easy to assemble.2. It comes with EVERYTHING you need and even includes extra screws in case you lose one or two.

Didn't work for me. Easy to take official dock apart and move the circuit over but no luck getting it to charge or see that the switch unit was attached... also, doesn't line up very easy to actually dock the switch. The USB-C on this unit moves/turns. Had to move circuit back to the official dock and thankfully all worked again... so not sure why it didn't work but it doesn't. Returned.
