Great product! I don't use it for cheese. I use it for keeping lemon and lime fresh. The good thing is that the knob on the lid is quite big unlike many similar products with a tiny knob which slips out of hand.

I became a fan of Amish butter which is delivered in a log shape. I needed a round butter dish. I looked at everything Amazon had to offer and picked this one. The size is perfect for the Amish butter. If I ever have butter in a cube I'll have to cut a little off the end to make it fit but it would be worth it. The glass is heavy, substantial. The design is simple and it looks elegant on the dining table.The lid is easily removed because of the knob on top. I love it and intend to purchase another one for cheese.
