Wow, great goggles but really hard to focus with Eyes that need Reading Scripts
These goggles are very good, but these types require you have really good eyes or you can get Diopters if you can't see distance with your eyes. For people like me that needs Bifocals for reading up close were in a rock and a hard place. I almost returned mine, but I had an idea. I had some older bifocal prescription glasses with plastic lens. So I just used a dremel, and cut out the bifocal area out of those old readers to fit around the V5 lens, wow what a difference, almost perfect in focus, I am sure they would be perfect with the scripts I have now, but good enough. I made them able to pop out when I need to replace those bifocal cut outs with stronger ones when I get newer glasses next year. So that was fixed. Next I use my own K-Love 6 clover leaf mushroom and triple patch antenna, they work great. I have plenty of the 18650 batteries just sitting around, so use those in the supplied battery carrier. Next the onboard DVR at 640x480 at 7,000 bitrate 4x3 is horrible. I am rigging up a external 720p DVR that record at 14,000 bitrate and 16x9. I will have it able to velcro on, so when I am not using it, I can easy remove it. Love the green color, there is a smidge of light leakage around the lower part of both sides of my nose, but don't notice it when I fly. Coming from using EV100's for the past 3 years, these are a huge improvement, not perfect, but much batter than the Eachines. I am more than happy with the Fat Shark Attitudes V5 Goggles.
