Control Switch Light
When I recieved the item I was very impressed with the clip on lamp and its three color tone with dimmable feature. I use it as a bed reading light to attach to my head board and have been very happy with it except...What I didn't expect was the small control switch when turned off at night there's a bright blue light which is to guide you when your searching for it in the dark, which personally for me I found it very distracting. When trying to sleep at night for me it seemed to light up the whole room and when I go to sleep I perfer my room to be nothing but darkness, like a bear sleeping in a cave lol.I'm not sure if the feature is listed or I missed it in the description, but I would have thought having a softer light and a different color like a warm orange should be better suited when going to sleep at night. After a few modifications of black tape and black nail polish I was able to cut down the blaring blue light nuisance. This is just a heads up for other people like me who want to use this as a bed light but weren't aware of the control switch light to be distracting at nightfall and for those that don't like any light when its time for bed.

This is acceptable Not Great
I was hoping this would be more substantial. It is a good perfectly functional LED light (an array of LEDs) It is cheap. The clip seems although it might break after too much use.. It had some strange garland? wrapped around the clip.No WalWart is included.. I am glad I get to use one of the many extra USB adapters I have around..The cord to the light is just long enough..I can see this being perfect for someone using a computer in a dorm room. You want light but don't want to bother room mate.. Plug into laptop.. there ya go.For our application... My wife's drawing/ art & crafts table.. this works. the length of cable goes 80% of the way to the floor.. So I have to use extension cord zip tied to table.Just not ideal..In practice I would describe this as a "great reading light".the flimsyness of it, doesn't make it really portable. The cable length limits it applications.. The gooseneck is a good length. it is flexible..I get the impression my wife will use this for 6 months or so.. Then she will let me know clip broke.. And I will be looking at rigging something up from the broken parts.. I would not buy another one.. good enough. don't want to bother returning.

Good option for a work desk (artist use and photography of items)
Good price, good options and customization. It throws me off every single time the on/off button is not prominent as one of the end positions but it's not a huge deal. The clamp seems strong but it doesn't tolerate me gently grabbing it and lowering/angling/raising it- it slides right off my sanded particle board desk shelf (1.5 cm thick). I put command sticky tack on the clamp and it's a little better but angles and falls off still occasionally when I move it around. The cord length gives you some wiggle room but you may need an extension cord based on position and location of outlets. It doesn't really get warm at the lower to mid settings (all I use).

Works great and the control LED really isn't that bad.
I was a little worried when a bunch of people complained about the brightness of the blue LED when this lamp is off. Honestly, it's really not that bad. Wrap it in some electrical tape and move on. It won't change the function at all and it takes care of the problem in literally a few seconds.Anyway... This little lamp is great. It clips to the shelf next to my desk or on the back of my monitor with no issues (~2" thick). The thing I really like about it is how adjustable it is. I've been using the natural setting when I'm just going about my day, the bright white for when I'm soldering or taking photos, and the warm setting after the sun goes down to reduce eye strain. The adjustable brightness is great too. Super wide range of options and they're stepped well enough that you can always get the levels you need at the moment. My only complaints so far have been the actual LED enclosure itself and the fact that the hook slips when you adjust the lamp. The enclosure for the lamp is made of really thin plastic and the light bleeds through quite a bit. This doesn't really affect anything but it just makes it look super cheap. I think I'm just going to sticker bomb mine so the light is a little more focused overall.tl; dr ~ Buy one. It's a stupidly good deal for $15. I power mine from a USB hub on my desk. Works great.

Versatile and easy to use.
The lighting options are fantastic - three levels of intensity and different color tones, including yellow, which is better than LED white when reading in bed before sleep. The clips are strong and the neck of the lamp can be twisted and bent to face different directions without the without the clip popping off my headboard. I will order two more for my wood shop.

Great lamp for the price
Works quite well for my cross-stitch project. It''s light-weight enough that I can clamp it onto the 1 1/4" dia metal pipe of my stand. The clamp is really strong, so the lamp stays secure and in position at all times even when I swivel the neck up and down and sideways. I only use the bright light for this detailed handiwork, but I like that it gives me the option to change if I ever need it for anything else. Certainly a good buy for that low price.

Would not recommend it for studying or any use requiring really good light.
Ordered the biggest brightest clamp-on bed lamp I could find that was inexpensive. I wanted to be able to turn off the overhead light and make it to bed without stumbling in the dark and then read. Even at its brightest, it isn't nearly as bright as I'd hoped but it will do. The controls are awkwardly located on the cord instead of the neck, but there is a nightlight that helps you to locate them in the dark. The clamp is very strong and has not come off since I attached the lamp a couple months ago. Light can be shifted between warm, cool, and neutral, but for my purposes, the subtle difference is not beneficial enough to warrant any extra expense. If it isn't a feature that is absolutely important to you, I'd opt for a plain old on/off switch.
