Trailer Hitch Tightener - 1.25" & 2" Anti Rattle, Heavy Duty Steel

Wife complained about the noise my trailer made while towing my trailer. I told her that's the slop in the hitch. Of course Amazon was listening, and put this product on my home screen. I ordered one, installed it, and no more noise or movement from my hitch. I loved it so much I bought one for my service truck at work. Payed for it myself, because it works so great!

It took all the slop w away for me camper hitch. It was easy to install

Did the trick..…eliminates rattle…..and slows down someone from stealing your hitch..(need tools to remove).Might be issue if remove hitch often.. Will have to keep wrench in truck..

Installs easily. No more rattling from our hitch. The U bolt has rubber on it which is nice so it doesn't scuff off the hitch's paint, but I wish the metal bracket also had a rubber coating. The bracket installed quick and works great.

I use this device to hold my mobility scooter carrier tight, where it connects into the trailer hitch because without it every time I hit a bump the carrier rattled. You have to have some clearance for the tongue of the carrier to fit into the receiver of the hitch and that’s what causes the noise as you drive. this bracket wraps around both of them, you tighten it tight and it stops the tongue from moving and making noise while driving. Very heavy duty very well built.

Use this with a locking hitch pin. Make sure to install in the correct orientation. Tighten until zero play (no movement). Absolutely no rattling possible. Drive around like a BOSS! Totally worth the price. Wish I knew about these way earlier.2 yr update: Exposed to outdoor elements. Still not a milimeter of play when combined with anti-rattle locking hitch pin. 👍🏼Make sure you get both items to prevent both horizontal and vertical movement. Tighten both to high torque... as if you never intend to remove it from your truck. Think of it as a permanent upgrade.

I have put up with hitch bumping for years. Annoying but never actively tried to eliminate it. Then I saw this product and thought, for the price, I can't go far wrong. I chose this one because of the laminated U-bolt and it seemed thicker than others I had reviewed.I received this today and installed it. A process of 2 washers, 2 lock washers, and 2 nuts. Very simple. I tightened it very snug and my hitch has now become an immovable object, held in place by the Irresistible Force of that U-Bolt and plate.I have not yet done the "Trailer Test" and will update this post after I pull it around a bit, but I don't see how it would move other than the bolts coming loose.

The product arrived with all the necessary hardware and directions which are super simple. Took the rattle noise right out of my hitch extension and most importantly, removed the excess play when using my hitch mount bike carrier.
