The illustrations are beautiful (the artist has an excellent sense of composition), the words are loving, and it's so soothing to read it makes my husband and I sleepy as well. I like having the side by side translation. My toddler speaks English at home and Spanish at daycare. I hadn't spoken much Spanish around him because my Spanish grammar is poor, but once I started reading the book to him in Spanish he realized that mommy understands the language he speaks at daycare and the very next day he started asking for things from me in Spanish.

Infant loved it on sight
Translations great, contrasting colors and larger illustrations beautiful. Helpful notes in corner so you know what animal and its young are called, so you can make it simple for infants like mine with limited attention span. 9 mo old baby got super happy as soon as she saw it and even sat through most pages at first. Grateful for the thick board pages meant to last because can see it will be used for a while in slightly different ways, great for bedtime. Much better than expected quality for the price. Wonderful for bilingual family.

Beautiful and Special Bedtime Book
My daughter and I read this in English and Spanish every night before bed. It is a great bedtime book with beautiful pictures, a rhythmic rhyming tone, and a sweet message. I highly recommend it!

My son’s favorite bedtime book
My husband and I love this book and so does our 11-month old son. My husband is bilingual, he reads the Spanish translation and I read the English. Such a peaceful bedtime book!

This is at least one of my few favorite children's books
This is at least one of my few favorite children's books, and I love being able to have this book as my own for that reason, as well as to work on reading (and learning) spanish. I love the combination of the two.

Tolles Buch. In Englisch und Spanisch, wobei es nicht 1:1 übersetzt wurde sondern mehr Wert darauf gelegt wurde, dass es sich reimt. Schöne Zeichnungen von unterschiedlichen Tieren (12 Mamas mit entsprechendem Baby) und am Schluss ein Menschenkind. Handliches Format, auch für unterwegs/ auf Reisen.

La version originale en anglais est mélodieuse et juste parfait! C’est un de nos livres préférés ! L espagnol est ma langue maternelle et la traduction n’est pas poétique et n’arrive pas à être à l hauteur de la version originale. J aurais préféré même une traduction mot par mot que cette traduction qui n arrive pas à capter la magie de la version en anglais. Cependant la traduction en espagnol reste correcte et convenable pour introduire l espagnol aux chérubins!
