HIPPIE APPROVED: Best Flea Collar EVER!
WOW. We moved to rural Washington from San Francisco, within a week our little dog got fleas. I'm a total hippie and hate the idea of putting toxic chemicals on my dog so I was looking for functional alternatives. Feel like I won the jackpot with this flea collar. It smells AMAZING (Christmas year-round, anyone?) AND it WORKS!!!! Two-three weeks after my dog started wearing the collar we took a trip to the vet for a normal check-up. Vet said she's spotless clean and the collar must work really well because September is primetime flea season out here. BOOM!Note: Your dog may not like this collar the first couple of days, because the clove oil is quite strong. Like others have recommended, leave this collar outside to air out for about a day. Afterwards put it on your dog for a few hours at a time. On the 3rd day just leave it on. They won't be happy that day, but afterwards they won't even notice it.Hands down best flea collar EVER!!

Didn’t work for my Bernedoodle
These collars worked when I had my chihuahua and papillon ( now both over the rainbow bridge). But when I got my mini bernedoodle in March, the first walking field trip we took on a walking trail,( late May ) he was covered in ticks. Thought I found them all but two days later found 10 semi engorged ticks in his ears. One was so embedded in his ear that the vet had to remove it and put him on an antibiotic. Now he takes prescription flea, tick and mosquito medication and had his Lyme disease vaccines.

broke as I took it out of the box, but worked okay after I super glued it together
Was a little flimsy, smells like cinnamon. If you cuddle with your dog at night like I do, the cinnamon may be a little overpowering. It fell apart as i took it out of the package, but i super-glued it back together and it worked well, from what I can tell. It would have gotten a full 5 stars if it didn't break as I pulled it out of the box.

So Far, So Good...
I have never had a problem with fleas in my house--we never even use topical flea preventatives but when I brought a foster puppy home from a local shelter, he brought fleas with him. Although he'd been given a flea bath and a topical pesticide, his "super fleas" somehow survived and ultimately spread to all of my animals (3 cats and 3 dogs). I had to use a topical pesticide to stop the bugs in their tracks on all the animals to triage the situation. Once we had the initial fleas dealt with, i wanted to find a SAFE alternative to pesticide based topicals.A friend's vet uses and suggest these collars and my friends had nothing but good things to say about the collars, so I figured I'd give it a go. I was worried about the essential oils and my cats, but after contacting the company (and getting a fast response), they said they had no reports of problems with cats who live with dogs that wear the collars.I gave the collars a go and so far so good. My foster puppy went back to the shelter to get neutered and came back AGAIN with fleas--this time they did not spread to the other animals, which was good!If someone asked if the collars worked, I would, at this point say: "So far, so good" it's fall/winter with snow on the ground--so not the prime time for bugs and my foster puppy hasn't gone back to the shelter to bring back fresh bugs..I will say that I followed the guidelines on the manufacturer's website about taking the collars out of the packages and letting them sit OUTSIDE for 24 hours and they were STILL very smelly the next day. It's not a BAD/YUCKY smell, but just a very very strong odor. Now that the dogs have been wearing the collars for over a month, they actually smell nice. I would really recommend making sure you let the collars sit out of the packages outside for 24 hours before putting them on the dogs. I also followed the recommendations on the manufacturer's website that said to gradually get the dogs wearing them to make there there were no reactions to the collars--1hr the first day, 4hrs the second, 8hrs the third and after that I just left them on the dogs.

THE FLEAS LOVED IT!
The fleas loved it. Had to order a different brand, which seems to be working. If I can ever scrape up 40 some-odd dollars for the topical application (Frontline), that's what I will get. If I had noticed ahead of time that the Alzoo collar was "All Natural", I wouldn't have purchased it in the first place. That 'all natural' stuff of any kind has never worked on my animals. Very disappointed.

Great collar
This kind of smells like muscle rub but it works amazing on fleas. My dog was infested with them and now they are gone. The smell is strong though, so you might want to air it out for about a day before you put it on your furry friend. I will be buying this product again, it is a great alternative to other collars which are full of harmful chemicals.

Not sure it’s helping much
These smell great, but I can’t say they keep the fleas away. Might keep them down, but still finding fleas on the dogs now and again. I hate to use chemical repellents, but I had to go back to the frontline. Still kept these collars on the dogs, though, because it doesn’t hurt and it might help.

I recommend this to anyone
I just ordered this for me Aussie Mix. This is going to be our third year using this collar. We don't use anything else on her. No heartworm or topical fleat/tick stuff and this collar has worked so far. We take the pup for 3 walks a day and some hiking. I only use one of these a year and put it on in the spring. So far not a single flea or tick. I recommend this to anyone. Last year we took her up to a lake house in Upstate NY and I did spray a little natural dog spray on her for extra protection. My dog hates that spray and goes completely crazy but she never minds the collar. I will never use anything else because I refuse to poison my dog with that chemical junk in Frontline etc
