Gooseneck Kettle
I liked this product so much I bought 2 of them. Pros: It's literally an electric tea kettle with a meat thermometer on the top. It's beyond stupid easy to use. You can see the blue light turn on when you turn it on and it snaps off when the boiling is completed. You can see when it slowly get cooler and is in the red zone which is the coffee/tea temperature. Heats up super fast. I think its like 3-4 minutes or so. Can fill up to 1 Liter. Good 2.5ish electric cord. It does have a mechanism to prevent boiling if it is dry. It also comes with a measuring coffee spoon and a metal coffee filter. I like how it is not noisy except for the boiling of water. The gooseneck aspect of the kettle allows you greater control if you make coffee with a filter and you can dissolve sugar better. Cons: Sometimes if you put the metal lid on wrong and pour at an aggressive angle, the water could spill out. After a year, there may be a tad bit rusting on bottom but it doesn't affect the taste. Although the metal coffee filter is cool to make coffee, you need filters otherwise the coffee oils clog up the filter.

Move Over Keurig
I love the Keurig coffee maker. It makes great coffee as well as other beverages. The pods work great except for one thing and that is the space they take in my cupboard. Also, it seems as if I'm always running to the store to get more pods. When I decided to go back to pour over coffee, this item caught my eye on Amazon. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and it has turned out to be very nice. I can go back to my regular ground coffee in a can which fits a lot better in my cupboard than the pods do. I can also create a cup of coffee that is as strong or as weak as I want to make it. The unit heats up quickly. The temperature shows as it heats up. The water can be maintained at a desired temperature as well. This is a great device if you like one or two cups of coffee or tea. The dripper funnel moves the hot water through the coffee grounds for a great tasting cup of coffee. The dripper is easy to clean.

Great birthday gift and replacement for Tiger water heater
I had a Tiger water heater that lived an extremely long life of 12 years. You really can't beat on demand hot water of varying temperatures, but I had purchased mine at a huge discount at Costco and wasn't willing to shell out for the even bigger size that I really wanted. Just the same, I drink tea of different varieties and need a temperature variable water heater. Occasionally, I will make cold brew or pour over coffee and am forever spilling pouring in general. The gooseneck feature of this electric kettle along with a digital temperature reading was perfect. While it's not on demand like a water heater, this little guy heats up pretty fast, will keep warm, and uses less energy that an appliance that is on 24/7. I haven't had to clean/descale the kettle yet, but I only use distilled water in it. The pour over filter and scoop included are a nice touch. I've only used the filter for green tea, but had good results due to the brief steeping time. I would recommend this kettle for tea/tisane and coffee drinkers in a household of one or two. One liter is not a lot of hot water. I am divided about making the kettle bigger though because holding up a bigger kettle while the water pours out of the gooseneck spout could become heavy or tiresome. It is perfect for me, one rabid tea drinker.

Good value for Your Temperature
Teak kettle works really well for heating up water. The pour is good to ok. The exterior doesn't get overly hot when the water is at temperature. Hit the on button, walk away, and it beeps when the water is to temperature. The lack of five stars is due to it being unable to remember a temperature setting and the awkward 'keep warm' function. When you turn it on (press on button until it turns from blue to red) you can increase/decrease temperature. It is auto-set to the highest temp (212F) from which you can decrease. Unfortunately you have to do this temperature change every single time. I would've liked to have it remember a new default or at least the last setting used. The keep warm button does come in handy. After you turn it on ('on' button to red) you can select the warm button. This keeps the water near that target temperature you set after you turned it on. However, the warm button just turns blue and stay blue. So, to turn it on put the 'on' button to red but if you want to keep the water warm you have a red 'on' button and a blue warm button. If you hit the warm button without hitting the power button to red the warm button turns blue but then turns off since, without it first being on, it doesn't do anything. A huge issue? No. Weird user interaction? I think so. When plugged in but not being used the power button pulses blue; it turns blue, then fades to no color, then fades to blue, etc. Not sure the point; a reminder it is plugged in? I'd rather it not be lit at all if I'm not actively using it. No stars lost for that as some may desire such a reminder.

Makes water hot
Marvelous little Kettle. Have had it for several years now. It makes my coffee every morning. Very little cleaning and no maintenance issues. It pours nicely. I love the thermometer built in.
