Treasure Volume 1 (Yaoi) (v. 1)

I loved this one & can't wait for vol. 2 . Pirates have always fasinated me . And this yaoi manga hits the spot for fun on the high seas . Vol. 2 is coming out & I've preordered it already ! Can't wait to get it .

This book consists of the first part of the story Treasure, a short story and a preview (and quite a few advertisments for other yaois). The story Treasure itself is really good and the drawings are absolutely stunning and even keep improving throughout the story. And as I also love Age of Sail novels, this yaoi was right up my alley. Imagine Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Caribbean meets Jack Aubrey of Master & Commander. :)Patrick and Alan are two navy sailors on the H.M.S. Sacrament and the two are deeply in love with each other. Even though they keep their relationship a secret, a fellow lieutenant finds out about them and as he is jealous of Alan, he shoots Alan in the back during a battle with the crew of pirate captain Bergardoux. The wounded Alan is captured by the pirates as the pirates withdraw after the battle.Over time Alan starts to relish the pirate life and thus becomes part of their crew. And when fate brings Alan and Patrick together again, they face each other as enemies....The short story is about a young boy, who is choosen to be a sacrifice to the god Rithe. But it turns out that the life as a sacrifice isn't that bad. The short story is quite nice, but the drawings are not as good as those in Treasure. But the story Treasure would be worth buying this book alone, so the short story is a nice add-on.

Sorry, my title might be deceptive. This is a boyxboy manga though, so its not untrue. The French captain reminded me of Jack Sparrow and was my favorite character. I love stories where the character must choose whether or not to leave their former life behind for the sake of their lover - and that does happen. Of course, pirates have always captured our imaginations and are so fun to watch! Character depth wasn't really explored much in this volume - I'm hopeful for more in the sequel. Overall, a fun read =)

I decided to give this Spanish studio a chance and bought this. The story line is good, there are some intense moments of angst, drama and (not explicit, though) sex. I enjoyed every page and fell in love with the misterious, charming captain. The art is beautiful and keeps improving throughout the book, the last pages being really good.I can't wait to read Volume 2!

It was enjoyable.Treasure Volume 1 was a good book to read.The artwork was excellent better comic book artwork.Treasure Volume 2 is already out.Treasure Volume 2 is like part 2 of Treasure Volume 1.
