Love. Ordered it in black. It is actually made out of wood. Easy to put together and strong enough to hold heavy coats. Decorative enough for a front entrance.

This review is for the VASAGLE Coat Stand, Solid Wood Freestanding Coat Rack with 11 Hooks, Hall Tree for Bags, Purses, Hats, for Entryway, Hallway, Rubberwood, Caramel Brown URCR05WN. I wanted a pole coat stand that was made of wood, in a brown color, and, importantly, was not just a bland tubular pole with several bland tubular dowel pegs sticking out, like something I would have proudly made in junior high shop class. This one has a bit of style to it. It was easy to assemble, not much to it after all. I appreciate the tripod base instead of a flat round disc base that I had seen on other pole stands. I had paid $44.99 in May 2025 and I see it's now $39.09 as I type this, for as long as that price may last. All in all, I'm happy with it and can't think of anything bad to say about it.

I’ve needed a good coat/hat rack for about 10 years since… Okay, the point is I no longer have the great coat/hat rack I had for so many years. I researched coat racks and finally settled on this one. Interestingly, it comes packaged in a very small package compared to what I expected. That’s because you have three main sections of the pole to assemble, plus the top and bottom sections. They screw together quite tightly and invisibly. The legs lock in tightly with just one central machine screw. The top hangars also lock in tightly with just one central machine screw. The concave to convex surface holds them tightly aligned. I got everything fully assembled and hung my first item, a vest. Major disappointment. It wanted to slide off the hook because the bottom hook isn’t really a hook, but rather, kind of a rounded edge. It’s too thick to hang most coat hook loops on them. I found I could hang it through the arm holes. The three bottom pegs will hold the vest, but I prefer the positioning of the bottom hook at the top. Guess I’ll create a wooden bump or knob of some type to hold the vest and coats on the hooks. Oh, one other thing about those top hooks, they’re plywood unlike the rest of the tree. The rest of the tree is solid wood. I suppose they had too many breakage issues with solid wood along seams in the wood. Contrary to a number of other reviewers, I found that the coat/hat rack is pretty stable, definitely solid, and it also looks very nice. However, it isn’t as good as my previous coat/hat rack.

First off it was a super easy fast assembly with clear instructions. It's sturdy enough and not wobbly as is well balanced and looks great. I couldn't believe how small the package was that it came it. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

It works, but I wish it could be more sturdy. I have to be careful not to knock it off.
