Senville LETO Series Mini Split Air Conditioner Heat Pump, 18000 BTU 208/230V, Inverter, Works with Alexa, SEER2 19, 1.5 Ton, White

I am a recently retired HVAC tech. I can only say...WOW! lets start with the item packaging. Everything was well packed and arrived undamaged. Everything seems well made and well thought out. Even the line set had perfect flares. The only thing I can say is a negative is the power/signal cable between the condenser and the air handler is about two feet shorter than the line set. The line set is easy to bend and is seamless, so if you had to re-flare it, it shouldn't split at the seam. I used a little Nylock on the flares and upon evacuation system held a vacuum with no measurable loss of vacuum in 24 hours. Once the system was pressurized, no leaks noted via leak tester or old fashioned soap bubbles. System passed all tests on startup. Even the amazon alexa setup was easy. Note that this is installed in an unconditioned space. I tested it the other morning, Outside temp was 33F. The indoor air handler was blowing 128F air!!!!! I am impressed!!! Once upon a time, you were lucky to get 90 degree air out of a heat pump. I am heating/cooling only 240 sq feet ( uninsulated) with 18000 BTU's and this thing brings the temp up quite rapidly. The fact that I can tell the system to switch on and set the temp via Alexa is awesome. Also note that there appears to be parts available as well if they are ever needed. I did have a minor issue with figuring where to plug the wifi dongle so I reached out to customer service. They were quick to respond and quite helpful, so A+ there as well. I could have spent a little less, but I felt this was all around a better product.

I bought this 18000 btu unit last summer and I absolutely love it. You can barely hear it - just air moving. Cools AND heats wonderfully and lowered the heck out of my electric bill. I'm in Southern CA and it was over 100 most of last summer. It's a winner, and I would definitely buy it again.

This is our second one and we wouldn't consider any other brand. Work well, easy to install (with an extra set of hands to hole the unit while it is mounted) and easy to control with remote. Highly recommend.

One of the best and smartest purchases that I have made in a long time. As we all know, the pandemic changed a lot of things with one being how many of us now work from home. I have created an office here in my house but living in Burbank, California it gets hot at times - sometimes up to 110 degrees! While my home has central air, my roommates are at work during the day and I am the only one home. So why pay the sky-high cost to cool your entire house when you are just in a single room all day? My office is also in the rear room and the central air just does not get it that cool - maybe 75 tops if I leave it on all day and set it to 72. Great benefit #1 - Once I installed the Senville Mini Split, everything changed. I set it for 75 degrees and I had a 75-degree room within minutes! One time I was gone in the morning and when I came home the house and office were 85 degrees. I turned on the unit and pushed the 'Turbo' button on the remote and the office (which is about 60 square big) was at 75 degrees within 6 minutes! So now, not only do I have a comfortable work environment, but I am also saving money since I only cool my home office and NOT the entire house. I expect to save about $100 a month which means the unit will pay for itself within two years. Great benefit #2 - One of my job responsibilities is to talk on the phone occasionally. This is SO QUIET that I have to look to even see if it is on. Not only is the unit inside quiet, but so is the outside unit. Great benefit #3 - Alexa! One of the main reasons I bought from this company is that it would work with my Alexa system. My entire house is automated (lights, sprinklers, central air, doors, etc.). So now, after I get up and get ready for my day, I can tell Alexa to turn on the unit and set the office air to 75 degrees. I can walk into the room within minutes and the room is perfect! I can also do this from the car on my way home when it is even hotter in the house. At first, it did not work and I talked with a gentleman named Mike from Senville that I had to have the USB kit for the unit for it to work with Alexa. I got it within days and it took less than three minutes to install it in the unit and have it running with the Alexa system. They make it that easy! (My only advice to them is to make sure they explain that in their description that it is not included and you must get it separately.) I am extremely happy I bought this unit and the company is proactive and stands behind its products. I am now considering buying a second unit for my bedroom. Because it has been nothing but HOT so far, I have not used the unit heater yet but I have no doubt when I do this winter it will also impress me with its features. If you don't use Alexa, this is still an awesome unit to have and the remote control gives you all the features you need. My personal thanks to Mike at Senville for taking the time to reach out and to make my experience great!

Here it is plain and simple... Pros: Very quiet and blows very cold. Love it! Unit went together nicely and build quality seems good. What more is there to say on this part? Cons: Instruction manual for installation is REALLY bad. I am a pretty handy guy AND used to do A/C. Book is chock full of "some units may have different this" or " "some units may vary" that. The wall bracket mounting plate and location for hole for the refrigeration lines is a critical step since you are drilling a 2.5 inch hole in your wall. Senville does NOT provide a template printed on the inside of the box like several other manufacturers. Instead they have a bunch of examples on a page in the manual with measurements. This would be fine but none of them matched my unit. Definitely not good. I had to do my own measurements which isn't easy considering the lines flex and will take up the entire hole once installed. I got it right but it was close. The very idea that no template was included is nuts. The app is useless. It is limited so heavily it is ridiculous. If you have 5G forget it. If you have IOS good luck. I gave up. I would be pissed if I was installing this in a cabin where I wanted to get a head start on warming or cooling prior to arrival. UPDATE: Evidently Senville is currently working on the app so that is why I had no luck with it (6/14/23). Called tech support and they were very helpful. Got it to work with Alexa very easily and now I am happy. Still…gotta get that template printed on that box guys. Bottom line: Great unit once it is installed. Great value compared to other units. Will update after some months of use. Additional info: These units will require cleaning! The indoor unit has filters that need to be cleaned monthly which is easy but the coils and the fan will need an annual cleaning which, if done professionally, is quite expensive. There is a mini split air conditioning cleaning cover bag available on Amazon which allows you to do this yourself without making a mess and keeps the wall from getting soaked during the process. You will have to be a bit handy and watch some youtube videos but it isn't too tough.

I think it works great no complaints here. Keeps the house cold, lots of different settings for how fast you want the fan to blow. Also, seems to be pretty quiet even if the fan speed is high. Would defiantly buy again!

Do not purchase any product manufactured by Senville. They will not honor any of their promises. They ship defective products and do not honor their warranty. I purchased an 18K BTU mini split from them that was supposed to come pre-charged with refrigerant. When the HVAC tech came to do the start up there was no refrigerant in the unit. Rather than have him charge it I contacted Senville for some assurance that they would cover the recharging which they said they would. After paying...again...to have the unit started up I sent copies of the invoice to Senville at their request for reimbursement at which time they closed out my claim without payment. All efforts at attempting to have the claim reopened and satisfied have been met with silence. As an update I have actually heard back from Senville. They have requested installation documentation three times now which I have dutifully sent three times. They have promised reimbursement three times which I have yet to receive. Given their absolutely incompetent or at worst dishonest customer service I would never recommend anyone doing business with Senville. There are plenty of other options out there to choose from. I have essentially written off any hope of being reimbursed under their warranty promises and since I have all of the documentation necessary to prove my claim, my next step is going to be to file a claim locally in small claims court. Update: Three months and counting and still waiting for the promised warranty payment. I will say that this company does a masterful job of stringing a guy along. Kind of like that old "the check is in the mail" schtick.

I’m very pleased. Product is very well assembled and sealed. Pressurized great. Small details are evident and made for a smooth install. At max heat (86deg) it was putting out 115 deg 👍. Fan is super quiet, and features are great for this price. Paid about $1k to have professionally installed. Suggest doing that so testing and hose cleaning can be done for best performance.

Does what it should. The internal discharge mount is kind of cheap but it all works well

Excellent heat pump I have run it for a couple years now without problem. I have 2 of these and they work well. I have 3 other brands of heat pumps all were serviced multiple times in their first 2 years. Great product. Great price.

This unit is very good for heat as well as cooling Senville is a very good company to deal with. Had an issue with the louver stepper motor clicking after 3 years and Senville promptly sent me a replacement motor which resolved the issue. Very easy to deal with and highly recommend them.

This is the first mini-split system I have purchased. It was very easy to install and to set up. I did get a HVAC person to do the final refrigerant line hook up, electrical hook up and final inspection. I did mount the outside condenser on a Senville GS-380 ground stand, which I purchased also on Amazon, screwed to 16x32 concrete blocks which I got at Home Depot and a Powrocket Mini-split line set cover kit. I read too many reviews of people mounting it to the side of the house and getting bad vibration noises. It works great. So far. I did but it mainly for the AC and I don't know if we will ever use it for the heat but we'll see. I live in the Calgary area so we'll see how it performs during the cold winter. There are many installation videos online and I recommend watching these. They have some great tips. It is very quiet inside and out. It defiantly wont be bothering us or the neighbors. I would recommend Senville AC/heating mini-split systems.
