I used them to fix the slats to the garden bench and they were fine. To avoid being rusty, I painted them and they should be able to last years.

I bought these to use as captive nuts in treated wood to make the end caps on a really good cat scratching post. They were easy to fit and work perfectly with long M10 bolts. They are a quality fixing and one of them is more than enough to keep everything together despite a fair mount of torque between the two workpieces being held together. Quite durable as the first ones I bought have been in place for several years with the bolts screwed and unscrewed on multiple occasions in that time.
