Gourmet Basics by Mikasa Anastasia Cream 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Assorted

This is my first round with stoneware, coming from Corelle. It takes a little while to get use to--extra weight, size and loading the dishwasher is not as easy and is run more often. I knew what I was getting into and the dishes are very nice and what I expected. A minor observation - the large plate slopes a bit, so any juices puddle to the center of the plate. I purchased 2 sets. They were solidly packaged with no chips or cracks. One set of bowls was an extremely different color on the inside. I knew to expect some variations, but this was very noticeable. I contacted Mikasa and they addressed the issue to my satisfaction. Great customer service! The picture is a good representation of the product.

After approximately 15 years of daily use with our old Mikasa stoneware, it was time for a replacement, mainly because we moved two years ago and the colors in the old set didn't quite match our new kitchen. The old set held up so well that I knew I wanted another set of Mikasa dinnerware. I ordered two sets of Anastasia Cream Stoneware and was pleased to find every piece arrived in pristine condition. As another reviewer indicated, the plates slope from the outer edge inward toward the center, but the slope is so gradual that it is not an issue for us. I knew from the pictures that the outside of the bowls and mugs were shiny but was a little surprised at just how shiny and "coppery" they look. Still, that is no deal breaker for us, and the colors are perfect. The dishes are lovely, and I expect many years of use from this set, too.

I love this dish set it very nice and durable. I was looking for dishes this color to go with the decor of my kitchen and home. They are lightweight and look great. I just wish they had options for set with larger numbers of table settings they only had 4 I needed a set with 6 so If you need more then 4 you will have to purchase 2 sets.

I really love these but my husband hates them. Too much curve in the plates and everything flows into the middle. I've only had them for less than 3 months and already need to replace them since he hates them so much. Bummer. I wish he told me that earlier so I could have returned them.

Beautiful colors, exactly what i expected. Carefully packed, no breakage.

I love this set. I love the color, the durability, and the fact that I can put them in the microwave. I live by myself, so the only problem is I go through the large plates at a much greater frequency then the other items. So I would love to purchase more plates, but even going directly to the manufacture’s website you can only by the set.

Have bought a few Mikasa sets sets over the years based on their durability as well as great style. Bought this for a Christmas gift for my sister as it similar to a set I had previously which she loved. Sturdy, well made and dependable.

These plates cracked very easy. They are not close to worth the money. I am passed when i can return i just want to save anyone else from buying these. BUMMER
