Why does the "product information" say "1 A battery required?"

No clue, probably just a mistake, it doesn't require any batteries. It's just a plane ol' water bottle. My lady loved it though.

Is this the real wizarding world item or a clone?

It’s a real Wizarding World item. I think I got mine from a Books a Million. And I’ve seen Harry Potter stuff at my bookstore with Wizarding World logos on them.

How do you clean it? Is it dishwasher safe?

I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher. Over time the ink would probably fade and come off. Use a bottle washer to clean. Its really more of a novelty gift than a practical water bottle. I gave it as part of a gift basket for a family member who shattered his ankle and foot. He is a Harry Potter fan so he totally got the reference.
